Gen X here. Great video. This car reminds me of my younger days where there were multiple choices of decent, affordable, sporty cars, with manual transmissions, which you could buy. Driving past dealers now is a complete bore. Row upon row of refrigerators and freezers, on wheels. It is nice to see the younger generation reclaiming these cars and fixing them.

Couldn't agree with you more. Auto makers only care bout squeezing every penny, and no glory, low quality, and you can hardly tell one brand from another. Yawns

Whut? Today is like 1970. The last days of the Muscle Car Era. You can get Shelby Mustangs, Hellcats, ZL1 Camaros, Corvettes. Even Hatchbacks now have 300+ HP and Stick Shift. Station Wagons with over 600HP. Muscle Trucks. Even electric cars start to get exciting. You can go out and find a 10 year old Coyote 5.0 6 Speed Mustang dirt cheap. Or LS3 powered Camaros with T56‘s (TR6060 are almost the same). Get it now while you still can and enjoy the time

@@Epik-hm8ws Thanks for the reply. You make some valid points. What is lost now is the affordability factor. It could be related to post COVID mark ups, aka gauging. I live in Canada and I can say the used car market is as insane as the new. I think my Southern neighbors are feeling the same thing.

@@cdpgbc-mw2kz Jup, Inflation hits hard in Germany too. Housing prices are sky high. Interests are now high as well. Corona and Chip Crisis. Ukraine War in Europe now. Thanks for cleaning inside door jamb. I was watching a top youtube detail guy washing a farm truck. The truck outside was cleaned along wheel wells and looked great. He opened door and there was mud caked inside the door jamb and he said he wasn't going to clean it since the owner didn't ask too. Since when does one have to ask for door jambs to be cleaned. I wouldn't let him touch a vehicle of mine with that attitude.

@stubbk3 Shitty excuse, just sell it then and move on instead of letting it slowly fade away. I've sold cars when I see they don't make sense to have around. Don't let it sit and slowly die because "you'll get around to it some day" that's always how they end up becoming rusty heaps of crap filled with trash. Too many nice cars have been lost to this way of thinking.

@@blakeslide6919 My FD RX-7 has been parked for 2 years now, its the only thing I have left that my dad was a part of in my life, I have intentions to fix it, ive owned in 10 years, but as Stubbb said, life gets in the way, and the car isn't ever going to be for sale. @JohnDoe-tx2ys okay but inheriting car from a fallen loved one isn't the same as parking a car you bought for $1500 and saying "ILL WAIT A FEW MORE YEARS" like is usually the case. I'm building an s13 and I'm so deep into it moneywise it's embarrassing, but fuck if I'm going to let it rot. The exception isn't the rule.

I have an autoimmune disoder... so when I take 4 hours to clean my not-so-dirty car, it is an amazing accomplishment. The thing looks brand new when I'm done with it. I try to keep it clean in between washes/details so that I don't have much to do... but still takes me 4 hours 😂 GOTTA PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE DETAILS!! ALWAYS... no matter how small. And your vehicle will always look amazing. ❤❤❤ I also detail my husband's '13 Focus ST, that thing looks beautiful when I'm done with it. It has that Tuxedo paint job. It's black with shimmer flecks all over it. It looks amazing when I'm done detailing it. ❤❤❤
