I just have one thing that worries me, and that is the ramp. Surely it would safer and easier for ed to have wider ramp so he could walk up with the bike? I can't image the bike is light and would hate to see it fall on him.

@@Sanderly1820 Robby Layton said on his last video that he only had a week to get the Rokon trailer back to Matt, ready to give it back to Ed. The Rokon is painted, so the Bikes and Beards guys can take a day to come over to reassemble it at Robby's. Paul had the GN all but done last Sunday, bar some minor pieces of trim. Sunday is Golden Nugget day, so the handover needs to happen before then, for the video to come out on the day.

Yes, I get that the powder coat is still there, but that $1000 a gallon paint is what’s getting hit with rocks and road debris before the powder coat. I’m not being critical of what they do, just an observation. Also, I think the gold fender with black underside would have looked super sharp. But, in reality, I’m just a dude, disguised as a dude, playing another dude and none of those dude’s has ever painted anything except a house. LOL
@JustNobodyButME
@JustNobodyButME Жыл бұрын
I had pretty much the same thought. Why paint the underside of the fender when it will get destroyed from road debris. I think it would have looked better with just the top of the fender painted. But having the underside gold really sets off the wheel and tire plus what else is he going to paint that color. Probably has a lot left over.

I love everything about Ed's Golden Nugget story, been following since the very beginning, that's how I found this channel and it's quickly become one of my favorites. I think the trailer ramp should have been full sized instead of a single track. I keep picturing Ed trying to get up the ramp and falling off the side. They might be thinking about the weight of the ramp if it was as wide as the trailer and Ed being able to get it up/down by himself. He will have to be careful and go all the way though, if he stops, he will fall over.
@mr.mcewan9261
@mr.mcewan9261 Жыл бұрын
I agree, The ramp is not only too narrow it is also too slippery. At a minimum it needs to be covered with a sheet of expanded metal. Would have been much better with a full width expanded metal ramp. I wouldn't want to drive up that ramp the way it is. A wet tire or a slight misalignment and it will be on its side rider and all.

OMG, I'm not a car guy but this Golden Nugget Rebuild was ( is ) the best video series ever on YT. Shows how much work goes into a restoration, 6 months for a car, bike, plus a trailer is superfast. 🛺💨 . . 🏍💨💨
