“Disaster! Holding Pool Empties Overnight | Heavy Machinery Saves the Day at Fensmere Fish Farm”

Another Day, Another Problem at Fensmere Fish Farm!
The day started with a disaster-our new round holding pool had sprung a huge leak overnight, completely draining all the water. Just another unexpected job to tackle before we could even think about harvesting the top lake!
After sorting that, I reset the siphons and extended them to improve flow. Then, it was onto reinforcing the dam wall on the Leney Pond, which separates it from the main lake. This involved lining the edges with large trees and backfilling with hard, rocky material to strengthen the structure.
All of this was done with the help of the trusty 16-ton CAT excavator and the Waites 5-ton dumper-essential tools for getting the job done efficiently.
