What is the difference between the pilot light and hot standby DR site designs?

@helen, think of pilot light DR site as partially operational site which can be scaled up when switchover is required. Only critical components are kept running there which can not be started immediately like stateful databases. Stateless application services are either not running or running at very low capacity. Its cost is comparitively lower but takes some time for site to be operational to serve traffic. Where as in hot standby , we run both stateful and stateless applications at full capacity so that DR switchover can be done instantaneously. Its cost is comparitively higher but site is almost always ready to take traffic at moment's notice.
