‘Disastrous’: PM ‘ran into a brick wall’ sparring with Fordham about Voice

Another week has passed with another disastrous performance by Labor trying to sell their radical Voice proposal as moderate, says Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton.
“This week, instead of getting a soft ride in the media, Albanese ran straight into a brick wall during an interview with Ben Fordham,” Mr Houghton said.
“Albanese is so used to doing easy interviews with hardly any pushback against his proposals that he greeted Fordham's questions with anger.
“It showed the contempt Voice proponents have for scrutiny and transparency.”

There are already places where non-indigenous are not allowed to enter that used to be open to everyone, higher education courses for ATSI people only that used to be available to all and jobs just for them following on from the courses just for them. This country has been getting split into 'us and them' for a long time, only thing is, more are waking up to it now thanks to this Voice push. When can we get to a point where we are all equal Australians?

I was verey optimistic after the dysfunctional Morrison Government that Labor would be able to get Australia back on track. I have never supported the LNP but the greatly flawed Voice proposal is indicative of a greater malaise that extends across many government policies. The proposal to create an unelected Voice bureaucracy is clearly divisive and discriminatory. It will, as all bureaucracies do, expand to fill the void and become an expensive defacto branch of government. Once enshrined in the Constitution, Policies, Legislation and regulations will follow. To say that it does not involve compensation and "paying the rent" is quite disingenuous. It has already been proposed. All that is required is that within the framework of the Constitution the government of the day can create and tweak Legislation, laws, rules and regulations to suit whatever pressure group it agrees with. It will not need the approval of the people as it is BROADLY "Enshrined in the Constitution". I do not trust Labor, and the LNP under Peter Dutton looks infinitely more trustworthy. Warren Mundine and Jacinta Price are doing an awesome job and telling it like it really is and not fluffing about telling half truths like The Prime minister and his activist cronies. If this was an LNP proposal Labor would be outraged and there would be demonstations. The agenda is far from clear and Australians are being "sold a pup". Make the present massive parliamentary system work for aboriginal people. Make politicians and bureaucrats become more efficient and LISTEN to their aboriginal constituents and DO something positive.. The activists see a big future for themselves in new careers and a well paid power structure. Australians do not need a 4th tier of government. .

What tax is paid on title land held by Aboriginals ? ? Once something is "law", it is allowed to be done. To say that certain things won't happen is ridiculous - if they are allowed to happen then they can happen... legally. And maybe the current generation of Indigenous people won't do certain things - what about the next generation? Once it is LAW it is legal. And the New Australians in this country - though many were born here - will have NO say..... It would seem that the Voice gives NO limit to what will legally be allowable.

To me the voice is a committee to advise the government on indigenous affairs. Why do we need this committee to be enshrined into our Constitution ? Surely they can form this committee to advise the minister for indigenous affairs without enshrining it into the constitution. Does the minister really need the voice to see the issues our indigenous communities face and take appropriate actions.
