I've had to come back to this video a few times. Best all around putt clinic I've ever seen.

I had surgery a couple of years ago and took the opportunity during my recovery to change my putting style based on this video. I keep coming back to it to adjust and improve. Thanks Dave Feldberg for taking the time to help all of us :)

Thank you Dave Feldburg. This helps so much. I have watched it three times now and keep adjusting each time I go out. You explain things so well. Thank you again.

That double putt method for balance and strength is brilliant. That’s how you get the body mechanics necessary for consistent putting

Push putts add something to the equation: release point along the arc. Most spin putters have a small amount of vertical travel in their stroke: Rico, Anthon, Dunipace, and MJ (who starts the disc just below the sternum, and releases about chin height. 10 inches of travel as seen here:) www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0f-...utu.be&t=3m41s Versus the 30+ inches of travel seen here, on Ricky's last putt before winning World's...well, 2nd to last: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5_Oep93j5mGh6cm8s That's the hardest challenge for me push putting. Next would be spin. A disc doesn't fly without a certain amount of it. A spin putter divides the effort between the elbow and wrist, where as a push putter generates it solely at the wrist or in the extreme, the base knuckle of the hand (finger pop). The closer the force to the fulcrum, the weaker the lever. A lot of required force is left to a smaller lever, and a smaller error has a bigger consequence.

There's nothing wrong with trying to learn with your other hand, but it might be difficult task. Other options I can think of is using Nikko's style that is based on a straddle that doesn't move. If you push putt like doss or mccabe you can using a squatting type of motion to generate your power.

I would think the softer, flexible putter would grab the chain better than a firm putter. Do they make a firm, "grabby" putter? I currently use the Wizard

To Bret Unger, you don't try to eliminate spin, you just don't consciously try to impart it. Your fingers do it I think, as you are lifting it up going from a 10 o'clock position to 12 o'clock.

So when push putting does our arm and thumb point directly at the target or do they point slightly to the side like our front foot? in other words, where is the thumb pointing when the disc is lowered all the way?

No spin on the disc? How does it fly then? I've tried this technique and can't get it to work unless I put at least a touch of spin on it.

So by this logic. If i'm right handed but Left Eye dominant I should aim slighting right of pole while putting?

I'm confused to as to where he says the bead of the putter should sit on your finger. Could someone clarify?
@Nitron209710 жыл бұрын
The line of your first knuckle on your index finger. It doesn't have to be there, though. As long as your index finger is underneath the rim to allow you to lift the nose of the disc and get it to float, you should be okay. I've started push putting and I use beadless Aviars.

So much info! Is all this info still correct?
@smokestakz9 жыл бұрын
of course it is....these types of tips don't change......aslong as putters are putters and baskets are baskets this info is solid.....but, this is Feldberg's method.....as far as im concerned the best putters in DG are Locastro, McBeth and Rico...and those are three polarizing putting styles so start putting how you feel is most comfortable then look at the pros to see which one puts the most like you and try to learn from them...im a spin putter, ive tried this style of putting and all I get is wobbles...im sticking with spin putting, he makes it sound a lot less accurate than it is...aslong as you release the disc at the point in space you intend to you are good...the crosshair point is good but you shouldn't be aiming at invisible crosshairs, just aim at a spot on or around the basket and hit that point in space....now it gets harder the more low speed fade your putter has...but I putt with discmania p1 maniacs (basically they are the original grid stamped aviar molds in star plastic....same mold as far as I can tell.....fn 2-3-0-0...) that's my .02$
@astvaldureinarjonsson13759 жыл бұрын
Synapsis you are really wrong if you are not putting ricky up there with those top putters of yours and yeah i agree with you that sticking with spin putt is not a bad idead just look at lizotte on of the best putters and he is a really agressive spin putter
@smokestakz9 жыл бұрын
bro, this is my OPINION....in my OPINION Wysocki isn't in my top 3 putters...hes a great all around player and would be in me top 3 players (McBeast, Wysocki and Lizotte) but im just giving my opinion on putters.

Feldberg is the king of the illegal walk-through step putt. Change the rules. Please move the circle out to @18 metres, then run it at the basket all day. This guy doinks more putts than he should and he is going to cause the PDGA to redefine the circle with his illegal putts. I like to lift my right heel slightly at the point of follow through. That way I don't doink the bottom of the basket so much on the 30 footers. Also, I don't like the beaded putters. Putting is very personalized and individual. Yoga is great practice for the one footed, balanced follow through without foot faulting. Practice the Dandayamana Dhanurasana pose.

You're the one who looked up "Disc Golf videos" James. You're the one who clicked on the video. You don't have to get involved with this sport, don't degrade things you know nothing about. So go back to swinging your rods and nailing your balls, wearing your goofy ass golf pants and play your "real golf".
