Modestep, Ecraze, Infekt, and Mvrda stood out for me. I was not expecting much from Mvrda and Ecraze, but they blew me away with these tracks. I enjoyed this volume 7 a lot, definitely competing with the other volumes. Also, the art is amazing, I like how they switch it up each year, crossing my fingers for 3D models next year 🤞imagine how much work that would take, but it would be worth it.

Guys like Terravita and DnF and Myro are OGs in the scene and they'll always have my respect. But damn, they just feel washed up as producers. Haven't heard anything exciting or new from them in 3-4 years. I don't know if it's just because they've been focusing on the business aspect of the label more but it's embarrassing to hear such poorly produced music make it onto this compilation.

I’m actually kind of ok with the Terravita one this time. The old school DnB pianos sound nice, the build up has nice empty spaces in it to give the snares an atmospheric and spacious touch, and the drop has a decent energy to it without the sound design being too abrasive and noisy, unlike his other Disciple released songs. It isn’t really amazing, though. Not a whole lot changes after the first drop is finished, and it just repeats its structure without any change. It just dragged on and went on longer than it needed. Also over usage of the “Badman!” voice clip. 5/10 for me.

I’d say this Comp was decent. The highs weren’t as awesome but the lows weren’t as bad, ignoring Bag Man of course the less said that the better. My favorites would have to be from Ecraze, Modestep, Graphyt, and Chibs. Outside of those the rest of the tracks ranged from ok to pretty good except for Bag Man, so overall I enjoyed it.

All the tracks are pretty descent, except for Terravita, D&F and Eliminate (not for me), but there are not any highlights and tracks that stand out. There are some tracks that are slightly better (Dirtyphonics, Ecraze, Graphyt), there are tracks that are slightly worse (BA, VR). The best are Bainbridge (surprisingly for me), MVRDA (classic MVRDA), Samplifire (a bit less impressive as Berserker) and...Chibs. Love that dude. It's my opinion, don't be mad :)

I am so gonna be cancelled for this, but the Enemy VIP literally stripped the original of all its hype and put in some drops that fell really flat. I do agree that Who Dem VIP and Bag Man were really poorly done, though. As for the rest, here's what I have: Barely Alive - Flak Jacket: Something feels off to me, but idk what it is. Still pretty solid, despite being a staple Barely Alive tune. Bandlez - Karate Killer: bandlez y u use the same basses in literally every single song you make Virtual Riot - Don't Need You: Now I know why Skrillex and VR are collabing; their styles blend so well, and this is proof. Eliminate - Let You Go: A staple Eliminate song, but very well done. I'm surprised at how Nate got that 808 clap to work in something that heavy Graphyt - New Hope: This surprised me for sure. I was not expecting them to go on a semi-melodic route. Dirtyphonics - Blindfold: What I said for Bandlez's tune. Oliverse - Don't Trip: Yeah, it's staple Oliverse, but I'm really beginning to appreciate his style. Classic dubstep is something I'm not a fan of whatsoever, but making it melodic like he does makes it really enjoyable. Ecraze - Death Track: He surprised me with his recent EP on Round Table. This kinda erased the surprise, but is still really welcome. Really digging his new style. Ray Volpe - Pretty Much: A standard Ray Volpe tune with some extra surprises, pretty much. Infekt - Monkey Dance: I'm not going bananas on this one (I'm sorry for that horrible pun), but it's still pretty solid. Perhaps this could be the 21st Century version of the Chicken Dance? Modestep - Solastalgia: I really want to like this, but the kick here is way too overblown. I've made the same mistake myself and it makes the kick sound like a bass-boosted fart. Samplifire - Mercia: Personal fav right here (not surprising when I produce tearout and other really heavy stuff), but I do agree that the sustain is pretty stale. Shit, I know exactly how to make that sustain in Serum since it's so generic. Bainbridge + Virus Syndicate - Around Here: I personally liked Bainbridge's old style while everyone hated it, but I like his new stuff even more. I love how Bainbridge is experimenting but keeping his old style simultaneously. And props to Virus for the verses, they always slay it. Chibs - Full Power: Knock Knock is still his best work, but this is still one of his best. Though his signature clap sample like the one we have here doesn't sound great. MVRDA - Barbaric: One of his better Disciple tunes, but man, after he stopped doing deathstep and joined Disciple he ain't doing so hot. I don't blame people for hating Ball Licker tbh. Dodge & Fuski - We Pop Dat: Just another briddim song, nothing special here, but it's still one of their better tunes by far. Overall thoughts: One of the best Alliance comps in recent times, and a massive improvement from Alliance 6.

Hi, so I enjoyed your review on this. I just finished recording my review a couple of hours ago and I have to say my favorite songs were: Barely Alive, Virtual Riot, Eliminate, Graphyt, Ecraze, Samplifire, Phaseone, Chibs, Modestep, Bainbridge, Dirtyphonics, Ray Volpe & Oliverse. Also, THANK YOU. I'm glad that I'm not only that thought the same thing about Myro's Who Dem VIP. I think is the WORST song in the compilation. I don't mean any disrespect towards him, but I have to be honest. Like WHY THE FUCK? would this be okay to release. So, you just remove the vocals, add a tiny bit of variation on the second drop and that's it. I mean come on, this really didn't need a VIP. Especially with so many people remixing the song and those remixes being WAY better than this, obviously. Also, Dodge & Fuski - We Pop Dat was ok, but the mixing was WAY off, but I still rather here it than 10 Years Too Late. Terrativa - The Bag Man, I really didn't like it, it had annoying high frequencies and the intro felt lackluster while the drop is just bad. At least for me. I rather hear Galaxy 16 than this one. Ps: I starting clapping when I saw your inital reaction to the first drop. THANK YOU, I'm not only one that was HORRIFIED by that.

Decent compilation. Prefer Dark Elixir a lil better than the current Dirtyphonics track. Enjoyed the Ray Volpe song a lot, it was tolerable, prefer it more than Elastic. Flak Jacket was aright, liked the first drop better. I liked the modestep track. Samplifire track was awesome besides the sustain. The chibs track was aight. Virtual Riot track I heard before from his set, enjoyed it. Ecraze killing it. Graphyt was solid. I prefer the Pretty Good Ep over this Dodge and Fuski track, but it's better than 10 years too late for me, even tho they really did sound 10 years too late. Eliminate track dope. Oliverse I enjoyed. Bandlez track was ok, usual Bandlez. Phaseone's was nice. Tho I think I prefer the og Enemy song a lil more cuz of the differences. Chibs Knock Knock is still my fav from him, over this track. It's not horrible but it's alr. The myro Who Dem VIP could've been done a lot better. More like an instrumental version. I appreciate that he's one of those artist who kept making the og deep dub in this lable tho. Rip Fox Steveson, his other track was dope from Vol 6. Rip 12th Planet, he was an og but left the label
