my construtive criticism is that maybe it's because i'm too much of an oldschool at this point, but i would much prefer a track from bandlez that sounds like bandlez. i know it's been a long time since the spy kids EP and i understand that their style has changed over the years, but hearing a square4 track with heavy MUERTE influences disappoints me not because of the track itself, but because it came from a duo that i always trust in bringing something different or at least funny to the table. this doesn't have the same charm as any of the tracks in care package, hot pursuit or bass buddies

If It's Our Time has anime lore i would think this is the second opening of the series where everything went into shreds for the main characters, but in reality is really a standard square riddim track. Dont get me wrong, i know the Disciple community can be toxic, disrespectful and even ungrateful (just look how they react to Oliverse singles in the previews), and i know Vishal is running the entire sub label and DiAndre is testing the AI stuff, but come on, if you tell me that The Chosen One was made by Bandlez and TWOKIND of all people i really wouldn't believe you. This is not a bad track at all but this doesn't scream Bandlez, specially when its a sequel to the masterpiece that was It's Our Time, it lacks the charisma and personality of Bandlez tracks and it's really sad. I hope in the future will be an improvemente, i'm sorry that the community is really saying that Disciple "fell off" (it didn't) but due to the final results the criticism is deserved. You can do better

7/10 this isn’t that bad. the production is really good and although square 4 isn’t my cup of tea, i don’t mind listening to this at all some of yall need to understand that mainstream artists aren’t just bears to poke at until you make them mad, they are people like us there’s a line when it comes to criticism. criticism can be saying what you like and don’t like about it, or just saying what you don’t like but being respect full about it. what isn’t criticism is just saying things like “THIS SONG IS COMPLETE GARBAGE!!!!” or “I BET SUBSIDIA WOULD ACCEPT THIS ONE 100%” speaking of the last one, people comparing things they don’t like to subsidia is getting annoying tbh, it’s disrespectful to the artist when you think about it or if you don’t like it you could just move on and listen to something else

Going to add constructive criticism to the thread since people here are complaining about a lack thereof. First off, it's not the worst thing in the world, but it's not without its flaws. It's the same old square 4 quarter note pattern thats been rinsed and repeated for the last 2 years, and there's little to no variation as the track goes on. There is an additional sustain in the latter half of both drops, but they are very unpleasant to the ear even if they are pitched down in volume. The fills (aside from the obvious MUERTE inclusion) are alright. My main complaint to this overall is Bandlez itself though. The project has slowly been getting more and more boring after the hot pursuit album. Sure, they've never made a lot of quality tracks when they first started, but you could at least tell they had fun! There's no more personality in the music, it's just more riddim added to the dubstep scene. Enough with the rant, this track isn't great, but it's not horrible. (4/10)

yes and not, well its difficult to say this, but in this 2 years its downgrading on quality af, Im one of the biggest fan of disciple since 2019 and I saw the evolution of the label, and now Im seeing the down of the label because they're releasing a lot of bland songs, A&R's are not helping to get more quality instead of quantity (well, there's no quantity here too) and yeah Im in a constant dissapointment with the recent label management, KOTRT vol 6 was the time to "resurge" Disciple to be better again, but yeah, its just a great comp but with a HUGE waste of potential. So yeah the hate its not necessary but I think its time to say something about this situation, there's nothing spectacular recently on the label so yeah... I have fate to the "resurge" of Disciple... Im waiting with a lot of hype the releases, im still a big fan of this label and I'll be here 4ever.

Yeah, this is a pretty clear example of a track being despised not because of what it is, but what it represents. Overall, not particularly noteworthy, but fine. Problem is, it feels like that's been everything Disciple's been putting out at best for a while now - Even when they get on artists I've known for their great output, it seems like like what ends up as the new release on the label is very underwhelming. It's been like this so long I became convinced I was just hitting that phase where I was already getting old and cranky for "the good old days" when I found Disciple around Round Table Vol. 3's realease (even tho im only like 22 lol). That's why I kept this to myself mostly, because I struggled to articulate what was different, and mostly could only do so by comparing recent releases to releases from "the good old days" 3, 4, 5 years back... But I've talked to other friends and seen I'm not alone - while none of them listen to Disciple regularly, even the ones that did from time to time say they feel like the quality's been slipping for a while now. Hell, I even showed some friends who don't even listen to dubstep, and although they struggled to explain how - When I showed them Won't Get Lost, NVADRZ's most recent release on here, and then compared that to Gabsi's Revenge from the No Heroez EP a few years back - everyone seemed to agree Gabsi's Revenge was better. Same for Whales, comparing Riddim DJ Agency to Hunt to Death. I don't think it's that the label has a lack of talent, I mean, these artists have released some of the greatest tracks I've heard in my life. But it feels like the last couple years every release on here's been losing its identity and homogenising more and more. I feel like it's so rare for someone to come off as having their own style anymore, it feels like even people that have talent and style are putting out generic riddim with no flavour or pizzazz. I just hope there's a light at the end of the tunnel, but it's hard to see right now. Especially when we've now gone nearly 3 years without a Disciple Alliance, or Afterlife. Though part of me wonders if that's the problem in the first place - That I'm looking to the big releases to keep me around - when back when I found the label it was the Round Table EPs that I was most excited to hear. I used to love them because I never knew what to expect in the next one, it genuinely felt like I was hearing a new style every week, and while I didn't love every one - at least even the bad ones had the courtesy to be memorable. I stopped liking them once every one started to sound the same...
