Son of Ymir was always a powerful unit to have in your team. Especially since Dwarven units have the most HP out of all the other races. I always picked Elder One depending on the map or enemies. But if you want to take down a capital then Son of Ymir is a must have.

I wanted to see what it was like to have enemy capital so I made a custom map and gave myself a ton of griffons and dragons or something, and attacked over and over again. If you do it in one turn the enemy doesn't heal. But I set victory condition of map to conquer enemy capital, so when I finally got it the game ended and I couldn't see inside :(

It just says "Here are the ruins of the capital.", or something like that. You can't claim it.

son of ymir is indeed good, must have in a team but only one. one son of ymir, the leader, and 3 of those girls, on the other upgrade branch, Give Attack . you can have the giant hit 4 times in one round. this is like a mega hack. 4 giants and a leader .

I usualy played with Undead so If I wanted attack capital I used paralys (ghost or warrios... or better both) so it wouldnt attack and use Death to have familiar effect to yours (dmg over time but with poison)

In one of my empire camps there was a Prophesses with over 250 healing points. I wish I recorded it too :)

Same goes for Legion's Fiends. Their poison attack grows like crazy with their easy level up conditions. Actually makes them best 2-slot melee option for Legions, as soon as I realized that I stopped wasting time on going after Abyssal Demons.

Support units for the demons are not worth it. They need a shitload of xp to level up and cash to heal.

yes but that's not enough :) i kept summoning level 4 and 5 magic units to attack enemy capital so their units did get exp and i just killed them this is a better example kzbin.info/www/bejne/an2xe3lonJmWgJI

@@kadiradguzel6692 Actually I have checked my savegames and found pretty same lvl son of Ymir, but I had another built: hero-warrior, druid, 2 hermits (don't know how they sound in eng version) and one son of Ymir. Lol! =)

Nothing special if you have trainer camp on map and many gold mines.

its hard but not impossible :) In most of the fights I retreat my leader, so that all the exp is shared between 3 units, sometimes i retreat my druid too

@@kadiradguzel6692 You use archdruid to use an unholy dagger to heal a hero by consuming life. Although with the alchemist, the victory will still be more effective and faster :) Well, of course, you shook the sons of Ymir too much) I won HP 550 and two old veterans with one)

son of ymir has almost max atck power 280/300 i think there is no need for buff (sorry for english)

Unfortunatly there is no campaign map for the dwarfs to get lvl 15 son of ymir ....... and even on custom maps if you dont edit the monsters on the map there's no xp enough to get you 2 lvl 15 son of ymir ...... till now in campaign map i managed to take down capital city's with any rase no problem since you get some armor scrols, potions, spels, petrify from inferno or paralysis from banshee and undead warrior ..... for elfs just have the aoe healer doesnt count which one and some potions or spels, human is the most easy to play of all and take castel and dwarf 2 since he has most armor of all

It's been a long while but the GOL and SOD campaigns had some really powerful enemy stacks so you could farm a ton of experience if you razed the entire map with just one stack. Plus having 2-spacer units means less exp division which means faster levels.
