What's your biggest takeaway from this video? And what one small thing can you do RIGHT NOW to start applying what you learned?

Spending a minimum of 15 minutes per day cleaning, instead of thinking it has to be "one hour". My place is very messy, and if I don't clean it up it will be harder for me to secure a rental in the future. Thanks for the ideas 🙂.

"Self-Disipline" is an emotionally changed term. No matter what, in order to live a better life, you probably need to do more of things you don't want to do. this is more true for people with depression. If you want to call this "self-disipline", that's fine. If not, that's also fine. I once had severe depression. I felt like I have no control whatsoever over myself or my life. Concepts like "self-disipline" seemed out of reach for me. But in hindsight, this is only because of the belief in having no control over my life. With this said, if someone was to frame "self-disipline" in a different way, as you have in this video, then I actually would have been able to do things I don't want to do at least to some degree, such as exersize. The mind can play tricks on us, and cognitive reframing can make a big differenence.

Thank you so much for this video. My biggest take away was "to ALLOW it to be difficult and take time and effort". Im stuck comparing myself to others and want it all done in the same amount of time and with the same ease as ppl around me are. Thank you so much, that was my light bulb moment right now. Allowing it to be difficult instead of hating the difficulty or trying to match up with others. I need to plan in more time into my schedule for the task Im struggling with. I need to realize and allow that it is a mentally challenging thing for ME instead of looking around and feeling awful because others have it easier. Who cares? At the end of the day it's about getting it done. That was such a relief. Thank you again.

The reminder that small things aren’t easy is a good reset for me. I also realized that thinking of some of these things as admin time, helps me put the. In a proper perspective.

Yes! Labeling admin work as admin can be so helpful. Same goes for boring self care tasks such as chores.

Omg I fuxking love her. In 34 and depressed AF 😔 I didn't even know I WAS DEPRESSED. I had been feeling this was for over 10 years not even knowing until I did research h on how to move on and get your shit together at 34 after a toxic break up. I learned as a women I have adhd which is totally different than men's adhd, I have anxiety and depression with a dash of aduting fear of failure. I am watching her videos consistently, I wish I could afford her as my life coach but can't. I'm broke broke and just went through a second house fire and a 3 year toxic relationship. That's just in the last 3 and a half years as of now. I hope I can see my self worth and value again and move on being 10x more successful and consistent with my behaviors and actions

How do I express how grateful I am to you? I've watched many many videos pertaining to mental health and am not knocking them. Some have given me good information but one of your videos showed up in my feed yesterday. As I listened to you, i couldn't hold back the tears of relief. For background, i've been in therapy on and off and have been more or less "getting by". Recently, and so gradually, I've reached the point where I am literally mentally paralyzed. No explanation is neceessary because I know you get what i am saying. I hope you'll see my comment because i want you to know that already, from only a few videos, how much relief and optimism you've given me. I can't begin to thank you enough!!

Anything to do with finances almost always triggers me, so tax season is really difficult. This year, I have my own desktop computer for the first time in over 10 yrs, which I should have guessed would cause issues. But I got it all set up and working and now I'm doing taxes in 5-minute bursts with 15-minute breaks. It'll probably take me a few weeks. I like the Swiss Alps metaphor. I guess I'm currently backwoods camping there lol

This really put alot in persoective for me. I've been beating myself up for not taking care of myself better lately while I change jobs and try to wrangle four children five and under! You mentioned Groundhog Day but another Bill Murray movie that comes to mind is "What About Bob?" because it's all about taking those baby steps!

I had never heard of relational trauma needing to be healed through relationships. . It should have been obvious to me but it wasn't. I have even said that family members went through the same but don't have the same problem as me... yeah they also got to have relationships and I have only dated one person in my life. So I already knew of the idea on some level but didn't have a name for it. Your comment about habits sounds like the Tiny Habits method. When you said how long sounds doable... my answer was 0 minutes because I can't get myself to start. It doesn't seem to be doable at all to me. (You said on another video to imagine it.. but I can't even do that.) When Tiny Habits says to pick an existing routine so you can add a trigger to it, I can't think of anything that is a routine... because that sounds more structured than what my day is. Doing nothing all day doesn't sound like a routine. "Your groundhog day itself is a habitual routine" was mind blowing

It is so hard to climb out of a groundhog day cycle alone. That's the main reason I do what I do now. I don't want anyone else to have to do it alone.

I really enjoyed this video. As a former PNWer I can only imagine what that heat wave must of felt like! Y’all aren’t made for that kind of heat. Re: the vid, I have a friend in my success team who struggles with some of the issues you addressed. So it is nice to learn your perspectives so I can be a better success team partner to them. And yes, I will recommend your channel to him. For me, I am going to try your habit trigger tip for my daily journal writing. I struggle with consistency. And I have lots of thoughts on a planner for people with chronic illness! Lol So many planners aren’t made for folks like us.

Thanks for recommending my channel! And YES, so many planners aren't made for spoonies or neurodivergents. Thats one of the main things I want to tackle in the course I'm building. I want to teach people how to design the perfect planning and organization system that's personalized for THEM. 😊
