I'm going to my grandpa's grave today. the man that never gave up on me even when it hurt to much to even care. he would pick me up off my feet and tell me I could do this no matter who shot me down. When he passed I felt like the one person who gave it all for me I failed.. I felt like I failed him not just myself but him as well. I'm going after a year of not visiting him to tell him it's time and if he's watching me now. I hope one day when I become the man I was destined to be he's there to see it.

I have regularly been listening to these motivational videos. At least 15 min a day for the last 6-7 weeks and it has totally helped me re-wire my brain. My motivation and excitement in experiencing the hard times has totally changed my outlook on life and day to day challenges. Adversity in life will happen to everyone. You have to embrace it and learn from it to make you a better person. I let it eat me alive for too long and it wore me down. I’m only 29 and will be forever grateful for this change. Others can guide you for help but my favorite saying : “everyone is a captain of their own ship” made me realize only I can change my life. Nobody else can. Some day I wish to help others struggling through this. Thank you God for showing me the path! I love you all and best of luck to all of your future endeavors. You can do anything you put your mind to!! God bless

my problem was I was obsessed with success, it gave me severe anxiety and If I didnt saw a remote possibility of accomplishing it, or if it was too unconfortable, scary or was too painfull, I quitted after a while. What helped me change that mindset, is to embrace pain because I realize , that those things are what life is all about, nothing is guaranteed, the boring things, the difficult things, the things that make you afraid, regardless if you will succeed or not , facing them is whats life is about. After seeing it that way I relaxed and just did things that I didnt liked. started doing things regardless of the goal, and eventually some of those things became successes without me knowing, which motivated me even more to continue to strive for more. With that mentality managed to lose 140 pounds and ending my engineering degree now I am looking for a scarier goal carreer wise and everyday is a struggle but thats what is all about, overcoming hard obstacles will give you a peace no video game or tv show will ever give you.

Pulp fiction icon Erle Stanley Gardner wrote 1.3 million words a year while working full-time. This was in the days before spell-check, electronic word processors, Scrivener, and all that. He sold most of what he wrote. He was even a two-fingered typist in the very beginning. So, don't let lack of tools or training be an excuse; just start with what you've got.

I don’t think they know each other personally. Goggins says he has heard of Jocko on the Joe Rogan podcast. My wish is for Goggins to go on the Jocko podcast. Hopefully someday.

No matter how many of these videos I watch, or how much I listen to David Goggins speak... I just can't make any long lasting changes in my life. I try to workout and lift weights but I can never stick at it for long. I always give in and quit after a week or so. I'm starting to think that maybe I'm just not cut out for that kind of lifestyle. I don't think the disciplined way of life is for me.

David Goggins talks about beating your mind, look as if your mind is a different entity than yourself and when that voice says, stop, you're not cut out for this! Tell your mind to go fu@k its self! That's the good part of me telling you that! The badass part of me says, "Ha! I just took your fucking soul!!
