It’s a regional aesthetic preference. Doesn’t mean you have to do it 😅 Brightening is great if you’re a performer, so while I could brighten my face a shade or two for performing, depending on the size of the venue I’m working in, lighting for the show, etc I wouldn’t do it in my everyday life. Some people do tho, depending on the part of the world you live in. Also this is solely the base; no contour or highlight, blush etc., which can easily warm up the foundation itself with a completed look.

It oxidizes a lot! When I got this I got one shade lighter on purpose because by the 1 hour mark my foundation matched my skin perfectly. While application though? its a high coverage cushion foundation so its made for thin layers while still being high coverage. the red cushion is tirtirs highest coverage cushion and is viral BECAUSE of it so maybe u can try it out. idk how much coverage u want which is why i wont say u will like it but the coverage doesnt have to do with the thickness of a layer but the formula. putting on a really thick layer just makes ur makeup look cakey.
