4:43 I was born in the disco era, I now live in the Electronic Dance Music era. Disco in the 1970s was the late Donna Summer, Electronic Dance Music today is Lady Gaga

My guess is that when Donna Summer did "Loves to Love You Baby" with the sexual hump sounds, and when the Labelles released "Lady Marmelade" with the lyrics alluding to unplanned "making outs" which can lead to unwanted pregnancies (or even worse--sexual assaults), this started the idea of a rise of undercurrent-induced hatred towards the disco culture. And then, Steve Dahl, a renegade shock jock who eventually got a job at WLUP-FM 98 (Chicago, IL), accelerated that societal hatred towards disco. July 12, 1979 was the climax of that hatred. Disco records were dynamited at Comiskey Park, a riot exploded nearly immediately afterward, and for a time after the event, "disco" was forced back into the shadows. Discotheques closed down, the iconic glittering balls were taking down, Studio 54 was raided and its owners charged with tax evasion, and you cannot mention "disco" from future records one produced indefinitely. Even disco on roller skates stopped for a while. Disco musicians realized that they were kicked out of the top ten list on the Billboard charts (that happened especially to the disco ensemble, Chic), after being on top of those charts. The final blow--some of the gay disco dancers got slammed with a new STD---Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. Yep, AIDS. The final consequence of that backlash. What was disco, however, was re-branded later on as house music. So with that, the hatred of disco--and disco's destruction that followed after that hatred--led to a brand new sound.

Why didn’t the producers get Jello Biafra, Mark Mothersbaugh or some of the punks to say what the other side was. Also, the biggest critics of disco were massive supporters of reggae and dub.

Sad enough the Disco Backlash had some serious racial aspects in! All of it inflamed by Dahl. (the ex DJ). It is a shame that the gouvernement let this happen. In the end Disco would be leveled out with other music sort. Music has it area's. And the come an they go in a more ore less 'natural way' regulated by the wishes of the listening audience. But hey, killing the Disco because it was te music of the blacks, the hispanics, an de gay community....THAT MANY MANY bridges to far !!!!!! I enjoyed the colorful extravaganza of Disco brought by top bands and musicians mixed with Soul, Jazz, Funk, Rock!!! And in an instance it was eradicated bu angry withe people. I hope you catch my drift.

LOL How old are you? 14? It took rap over a decade to get airplay on major radio stations and MTV. Then it got labelled as "obscene" in southern states. Record store owners literally got arrested for selling 2 Live Crew albums. Then Tipper Gore, C. Delores Tucker and the rest of the 90s censorship brigade started demanding parental advisories and limited airplay. It took like 25 years for hip hop to become full mainstream.

@@histoireenimages5986 Chess openings have something called theory, wich is something you need to study deeply. Just like funk. It comes from variations of jazz. In short terms. You need to be damn good and know a lot to make any sort of funk or disco arragements.
