FYI: The German that you intially hear from the horseback antenna is probably pale interference, a conversation from who-knows when. According to my German-speaking friend, it translates to the following: Horseback Antenna: "No, my love! I won't allow that! How can you send our boy to Vredefort on one of these things?" "Marianne told me, that Oskar isn't the same anymore, after he returned from Graad on an airship. Of course the psychologists decided that he's perfectly normal, but she (Marianne) has the feeling, that after his return she was living together with a stranger." "My love, please... He is our only child. He can still certainly leave for the academy next year." So, it's a couple of parents talking about sending their kid to study abroad, and the dangers of inter-isolary travel.

If you decide to stay on the statue after Laurel left, Kim will ask you whether you're okay and you can answer by contemplating whether you did the right choice. Kim will then tell you that he feels you've made the right choice as you're still agonizing over your decisions and usually, it's the right choices we make in life that we mull over the longest. That statement hit me hard, personally, because IRL, there were a lot of choices that I've made where I questioned whether it was the right one long after the deed has been done. And if Kim says that, then I believe it.

I had to stop there too, take a break. I don't know how Elysium does it. But it has made me tear up twice, with the most common things. Giving a handkerchief to a person in need, hearing about my choices. I really appreciate Kim, he's also a failure of dreams like aviation. But he hangs on, he is for the others. Amazing example of assuming our responsabllité

My theory is that the moralintern were hunting down innocences ever since the death of Dolores Dei, not just because they want to maintain the status quo, but because Dolores herself made the order. I personally think the innocences play a role into mitigating the effects of the pale, which means the moralintern are probably accelerating the end of the world, but i digress.

From informations that came out recently about the lore, it may be the opposite. It is possible that the Moralintern hunts innocences, but they probably do because innocences are part of the phenomenon that manifests the Pale kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJ_PlIaOptaofMk

@@marcoboscarol2420 Well the Moralintern as it exists today was essentially founded by Her Innocence Dolories Dei, who waged countless wars, resettled indigenous people and committed warcrimes of unspeakable horror in order to make her vision for humanity a reality, to preserve it against itself. The Moralintern is a continuation of precisely that. There will be no great leap forward, no change. That's why Revachol has the Archer hovering over it, that's why Mazov's revolution was culled so bloodily. There will be no change, no dissent, everything like that being carefully excised. In order to preserve humanity, they destroy what it makes to be human. There's an inland empire quote in the game somewhere, I'll look it up: Moralists don't really *have* beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded. Centrism isn't change -- not even incremental change. It is *control*. Over yourself and the world. Exercise it. Look up at the sky, at the dark shapes of Coalition airships hanging there. Ask yourself: is there something sinister in moralism? And then answer: no. God is in his heaven. Everything is normal on Earth That and the fact that you are simply disappeared, if you reveal your information about the hole in reality a bit too much. After all, such things don't exist.
@manwiththemachinegun2 жыл бұрын
@@kida4313 Disco Elysium is a study in failure. The Moralintern succeeds because no other ideology was strong enough to oppose it. The Communists were a bunch of murdering savages as well as the Royalists, there are no "good" sides. It's just trying to bumble through life as best you can. So while you're not wrong, it's also not a full picture of the history of game events. I'm fully aware the game leans to the left, but it's not like the Moralintern "made" the world a mess. It was plenty messed up already.

Alright, something I'm confused about is why the end screen doesn't mention anyone else being taken away by the Moralintern. Not sure what this guy chose but even if you choose "no" to you being alone when you discovered the pale it doesn't mention it. Harry was taken away in public, so maybe they took away the others in a more discreet manner (however that may be?) I'm assuming they tortured him for information regarding who was with him, and then killed him off. Another thing is that while the HARD CORE group and Soona wouldn't have caused that much of a stir, Kim Kitsuragi's disappearance would likely have been questioned as well, by precinct 57. I feel like I'm missing something very fundamental with this ending, so if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

Why do they need to torture him for information? Dubois clearly wants to be taken along. More likely he just ends up in bureaucratic limbo and gets stuck in some far away country while he's being in comittee after comittee answering the same questions getting absolutely nowhere nearer an actual solution. The Moralintern isn't scary because they are murders, it's that they are so encapsulatingly powerful that they most of the time don't need to.

Okay, I really did not want to leave a comment on this but, the way you produced video is incredibly frustrating. Details are very important, especially in this game. I don't know what your personality is, I guess you are a very impatient type. But, in my case I love details, I love it so much that I often find myself re-reading or re-watching simply to clarify my detailed knowledge holds true. So to the point... Why do you have to skip every dialogue in the middle of the voice actors speech? Why do you not even consider the viewer's point of view? You skip and try to go through these dialogues so fast I have to pause and rewind just to read what you skipped what options you picked and so on. This is incredibly annoying for a viewer point of view. Other than that thanks for uploading this moralst side quest video.
