The US didn't appreciate them or treat them fairly on the charts. They are timeless. Lyrics written about real life, witty, sad, happy. The ballads so emotionally strong will still tear me up while the upbeat songs make me still get up and dance. Mamma Mia was a longtime coming! I compare them to same respective genre of "The Beatles" and well deserved!

Yes.In '70 they reached the top of the charts only one time with Dancing Queen but they had only 26 top 40 singles.For example in Belgium they had 26 number one(!!!).But after the Musical Mamma mia,all has changed in U.S.Actually ABBA Gold has sold over 14.000.000 copies in that country(totally ABBA GOLD has sold over 42.000.000 copies worldwide,the third most successfull collection in the history).

@@RrRr-gl7rg thanks for the comment. One fan didn't understand me, I always kept watch over the top 4o/2o/1o. And yes, ABBA was always on the US charts, but how many if their "FANTASTIC" songs hit the top 10 or #1 in the U S! They were topping the charts all over in other countries. Don't get me wrong "Dancing Queen" is a classic, but look a the others (especially) power ballads, they should've hit #1 without a doubt. I'm am just truly happy as their fan that a newer generation and BROADWAY let the get the recognition they longed deserved! ABBA ALWAYS!!! May this monumental moment bring us back to the "roots" of true, great, POP music! ABBA 4EVER :)

@@GPiniella 👍👍ABBA is out of this world,not humans.They are the most talented musicians in pop industry of all times.They deserved to sell over 1 billion records without any doubt.All(100%) their song are good.Songs like my mama said,what about Livingstone,Suzy hang around,soldiers,the king has lost his crown,move on,Me Bobby and Bobby's brother,hey hey Helen for example,are incredibly catchy.People around the world need to know the huge number of not released as -single songs that could be a smash hit.Thats me,b-side of D.Q. released only in Japan,reached the top for 4(or 6)weeks...As good as new released only in Mexico reached the top for 8 weeks...

My favorite group loved them since I was 5yrs old. There music is so good still lasting. They are so big eith Theater productions & at cinema. Would of been good to see of them more. I saw on the news when i was at the Aquadome in S.A Elizabeth this year that they were going to bring a song out at the end of the year. Never heard no more. Would be amazing. I hope they will have songs put away in a volt that never heard. Never dies one every now & then do all can enjoy
