I’m a big AEW fan and I can’t stand Meltzer and Alvarez. Meltzer is the only non wrestler to “know” what’s going on in the locker room without the talent he names knows what he’s talking about. Dude doesn’t have a shred of journalistic integrity about him and sees no issue with making up fabrications when he has no stories, he should not be allowed to book AEW and Tony would be smart not to listen to meltzer’s “the young bucks are the greatest wrestlers alive” booking where meltzers favorites never lose even in an important angle. I was wondering how long AEW would last being that it's based on "dumb" and an endless amount of money. I never wanted it to go out of business, but man.... It's truly a trash product. So many things to point out, but the main one is the delusion and illogical reasoning as to why AEW gets compared to WCW. It's nothing like WCW. It never even had the history and (NWA) title prestige of said company. I'd argue that TNA at its height drew better money and ratings than AEW ever had. The last three years of internet hype, good grades, constant shit reporting over and over has been truly insufferable and annoying. I think the problem with AEW is their fans blind defense of everything and anything the promotion does and the way they try to bend the numbers to fit their narrative. The show has been much better since they have brought in Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Malakai Black, Andrade and Adam Cole but the reality is they haven't moved the needle that much for Dynamite and Rampage isn't doing well. On the other hand, AEW is having a positive effect on the WWE. I think Raw has a much better roster after the draft, Smackdown has been consistently the best show and NXT will benefit from going back to the beginning, when it was purely a developmental system. Competition is making WWE better and there's a viable alternative for WWE now. Some people liked to pretend NXT wasn't WWE or they wanted it to split from the Fed and now they pretty much have that, but their numbers are not as good as WWE's and they have to admit it.

I agree on this about AEW fans. But it’s also not totally surprising because their audience is super loyal. They maintain around 1M consistently and get really good PPV buys in comparison to their regular viewership, so their fans being die on this hill defensive can kinda make sense. I’m not sure if this is due to NXT being out in direct competition right away, but I really wish they had stuck to the original narrative that they weren’t competing and that they were just focusing on themselves. Once they got into the competition mode they appealed less to me because they twist to find ways to try and say they’re on the same level as WWE. I mean I’m glad they won the NXT “war” but it’s silly that they keep trying to twist AEW to be on the same level as WWE when AEW was neck in neck with WWEs developmental system for a lot of that time. The fact they weren’t crushing NXT immediately demonstrated that AEW isn’t the major leagues. That said I really hope they succeed. But being blind to any criticism isn’t going to get them there IMO.

Man. Two weeks ago I commented on a post in a Facebook wrestling group about Tiny Con oops I mean Tony Khan running his mouth about the head to head between Rampage and Smackdown that was coming up. So I get this Toxic Internet Mark aka TIM running his mouth about how I'm afraid of AEW beating Smackdown. So I ignored him like a real adult does. This TIM came to my personal page threatening me on various posts that had nothing to do with wrestling. The one that really pissed me off was a post I shared about a kid I've been following who's been battling Cancer. So this TIM started running his mouth on that post. So I responded finally but I did it in the FB group post where it started. I shared a screenshot of what he said and then I blocked him. Later that night I go back on Facebook and saw that this TIM had me flagged for Bullying. So I tried to appeal but of course Facebook did nothing at all. So I took the 7 day ban and went about my business. I wake up this morning and this same TIM who I blocked is now messaging my Business page. Threatening to call the cops on me if I don't respond to his post or messages. He did this on my business page. I reported the TIM and so did the other Admins of my page... This Toxic Internet Mark is taking a comment I made about Tony Khan needing to shut up to a whole new level. Wtf is wrong with these people. He had the nerve to call me a liberal snowflake because I wouldn't argue with him a 5:30 in the morning. It makes no sense that no one is calling these keyboard warriors out... I'm waiting for Facebook to do something but they won't. Because when I reported his stuff two weeks ago they sided with him. When clearly he was making the threats. So be careful out here these Dave Meltzer led Toxic Internet Marks has taken over. They pick a fight and report you when you respond. My last three Facebook flags have come from these TIMs who doesn't like when you say something about their favorite company... Its truly sad out here.

Calling them wrestling media is giving them too much credit. As DI said, they attack WWE but act like AEW farts smell like roses. You can’t pretend AEW isn’t making mistakes when their ratings on Rampage continually decrease. The Meltzer Ratings system is extremely flawed. Mainly because it’s one man’s opinion and he’s incredibly biased. The worst part is how many fans think his ratings are reason why to like or not like a wrestler. Hogan (I am assuming) never had great Meltzer rated match. I’m pretty sure history says differently. Hogan understood probably more than anyone else in modern wrestling. How to get incredible reactions from the fans. IMO he’s responsible for Goldberg’s best match.

Here's the thing aew lost every demo on Friday. 2 big precincts weren't counted which made it an easy win for wwe, second Kenny omega is Jerry Lynn. Lynn had great matches w rvd omega w Okada. Other than that who cares. Another thing a great pro wrestler is someone who can cut promos,sell, tell a story, then in ring moves. Ex.malenko great in ring wrestler randy savage better all around. Also sponsorship m ad rates for a show that is family friendly is higher than a show that is not. Thats why the last 3 years every year wwe makes more money than they did during a/e. It's why their TV deals will always be atleast 4x higher. Also when u sell tickets half price of someone else u sell more.
