DUDE you're killing it! I'm too lazy to transcribe all of those fills lol. Honestly, 50% of the tone comes from mixing, and vulf compressor. On this one I boosted the mids and put lots of comp on it. All though the jazz bass does help.

Drake Martin Thank you so much dude! Yeah, I’m still super new to all the mixing and mastering stuff. It’s hard for me to get the sounds I want from my bass especially when I want that low mid vulf sound. And the Vulf compressor probably doesn’t hurt anything either, but what an investment. I have tried and failed. Its taken me a while do get the thumb thing down but I can go in and out of it pretty fluently now.

In my high school pep band we played YMCA. I couldn't figure out how to do that octave rhythm, so I kinda just made my own way. I think it's really beneficial to me now. It took me a solid year and a half to really figure it out.
