The first time I heard "the big black death" section that kyle does, I said "what the fuck" out loud just from how weird of a moment it is, and it's probably my favorite moment on the album. That and the whole vultures section, I feel like he really captured the sound of getting eaten by vultures lol

Mount Eerie was actually my introduction to The Microphones, as well as Mount Eerie and Phil Elverums overall work. I heard it at dawn on a cold, foggy, and cloudy morning/day (which is the best setting in which one should listen to this album lol). It was recommened on my Spotify and it absolutely blew mind while at the same time confusing me constantly lol. Like you guys stated, it's almost as if this album demands that you play it multiple times in order to try to understand it and eventually fall in love with it.
