Hi Jim. Thanks for all the videos. They are very interesting, and I'm starting to use some of those tools myself. I would suggest making a video on self hosting the Zerotier Controller and using Zerotier SD-WAN capabilities. ZeroUI is, in my opinion, the best web ui for it.

Hey Jim. Thanks a lot for your tutorials. I've been trying to get the signal-bridge to work using this as a reference but for some reason I just can't get it figured out. I always get yq: error: argument files: can't open '.logging.writers[1].filename': [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '.logging.writers[1].filename' in my bridge log. Could you be so kind as to make another tutorial for the messenger bridges (signal, TG, WA)? I guess they would be pretty similar so maybe one would be enough? I'd really apreciate the help.

Sounds like you might have a permissions issue, or you haven't created the necessary files. I haven't seen that issue before. I might come back to do other bridges in the future but unfortunately it wasn't something that a lot of people showed interest in.

@@Jims-Garage Yeah I thought so but I could not find any documentation about it... that's why I was hoping to start from scratch with one of your tutorials. ;) I'd really appreciate it if you made another one. I've been looking all over the web but haven't found a comprehensible guide on how to get the bridges running.

I have a Discord server for my HomeLab stuff, and through the video I was thinking one thing, then your last little statement (@19:55) made be rethink it. For clarification, if I have the following setup, Discord -- Bridge -- Matrix -- Bridge -- Signal Can I have my Discord bot receive (and respond to) messages from my Family on Signal though Matrix?

Is it a bad idea to run multiple bridges in a single compose file? What would need to be adjusted to run several together?

I thought with matrix you can automatically connect to any messaging platform. Why wouldn't all the protocols be built in, or at least simple? Once it got to running a docker instance I threw my hands up and am giving up yet again on matrix.

No, matrix is its own platform. To bridge it with other platforms you need bridges
