Interesting that you didn't know that one of the most important and funding families of modern Romania was the noble Gjika Albanian family. They were very important as princes from 1650 till 1890 in Moldova and Walachia.

Albania forever in my heart! To be honest, I was not sceptic to visit Albania. I have visited Albania 4 years ago when the country had massive developments in all sectors. 85% of roads were under reconstruction so mostly we drove on macadam roads. Okay, not a big deal. Compared to my country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has cca. 21.000 km of roads, 10.000 km are not paved yet. And Albania has only 4000 km. So, for someone that would be a green card not to go in Albania again, but that is not my case. My impressions about Albania were that this is the country with the most beautiful and pleasant people, they really are; beaches, coast and clean sea. And I was not wrong. Since 2011, I have been there for two times again, precisely in 2013 and 2014 and I am coming again in ten days there. Between 2011 and 2013 a lot of things happened - they changed everything, they cleaned the country from litter, reconstructed roads, sewage systems and enhanced number of hotels and tourists in tourist centers on the coast. I was shocked. Way to go for that. Love you Albania! See you very soon! Music in the video is absolutely amazing, like it so much. An exceptional video which this group of people made! Nice video. Music ain't bad either, although one can instantly tell it is very similar to Loreena Maccannit, (hopefully this isn't just one of her songs, just slightly changed). Personally I believe Albanians can produce a somewhat more authentic new age music (it's been over a few decades since the end of communist regime there, so plenty of time I guess).... and yes, I agree with one of the commentators that there is plenty of material in Albanian musical tradition that is not oriental so Albanian music does not necessarily have to be presented as oriental....Professional musicians and music enthusiast should get together there to produce some authentic new age Albanian music....so much for the music...as for the PR /Marekting, I believe individual enthusiasts there can offer much more creativity than official institutions in charge of Culture and Tourism ( as is the case in many other Balkan countries)...Mireupafshim B.
