He mentions visiting Konigswinter at the onset; I have been there and it's beautiful. I prefer the idyllic, beautiful smaller traditional cities as opposed to the larger cosmopolitan ones. Their architecture and culture is stunning. The wine is very tasty too ❤️

International?? Really?? Major tourist places like Beethoven's house and the train station only had displays and announcements in German! Didn't feel as welcome there as I did in other cities - would not recommend this for the solo traveler especially. Amsterdam and Berlin are what I would call international, solo traveler and English speaking friendly. Without Beethoven, I'd give it a miss!
