Old town looks so nice. Airport hotels do have a lot of noise but they are very affordable. TFS. Safe travels.

Yeah this one wasn’t really the airport noise. It was the freeway lol! I would expect to hear planes. Never even heard those. Just heard the cars swishing by and won’t even talk about trucks. I stayed at a hotel in Asheville off the freeway but they were smart with having a white noise machine. This was extremely helpful! Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying on that side of the hotel. This place looks nice, the room looks cozy. It seems it would be a bit noisy with all that traffic and the airport. Ear plugs are a great idea.

The Whaley House Tour reminded me of a historic house tour I did in Buffalo. So definitely an activity I'd be interested in! The hotel seemed pretty nice too and convenient to old town. How long were you in San Diego for?

I love that restaurant across from the ice cream shop and gift shop we never did the tour but I would love to do it

I love the trolley tour that starts there. I did that a few years ago. It was really nice. And you could hop off whenever.

I love Old Town SD. This is nice Holiday Inn Express. I appreciate the pool. The room is cozy enough as most Holiday Inns are. How much was the stay per night when you were there?

The night I stayed there was $321 a night. Unfortunately it was higher than usual. Not sure why.

@@KitatheExplorer Honestly that's probably not too far of usual price in Old Town SD. There are also all manner of conventions, concerts, and event stuff that happen down there that those prices can hit hard at any point.

Yeah it definitely looked like I hit some type of event because the next night it was cheaper. But at least the hotel was nice and convenient.

The ghost story was interesting My big concern was the noise factor and having to pay by cash or credit card for snacks-no room charge😮

Yeah I would definitely request to be put on the other side of the hotel if I go again. Luckily I had ear plugs.
