The Wood Pigeon is my favourite pigeon. It is so fluffy and silly, but the same time this silliness makes it so sympathetic. One of my dreams is one day to have the opportunity to take it in my hands and to bury my face in it and to kiss it!

We lived in a house with a large Loquat tree, the Kereru loved them. Every year they would be there feasting on them. Sadly the tree has been cut down by the current owner. flic.kr/p/g3bAZa

Kereru are severely endangered in My Country Jamaica so much so that My whole life I never had the luck of seeing a single one so with that being said I was wondering if you could ship a couple specimens from New Zealand to My Country and what I would do is start a conservation breeding program to help to replenish their numbers?

back in the 1980s I went to an uncles house and had a feed of pukeko, which I later found out were kereru, it was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted in my life, they tasted even nicer than blue duck
