If you shop at Jackson's Art in the UK, shipping isn't too bad to the USA. Jackson's also has a USA-based warehouse in New Jersey that carries a lot of products stateside, so I would check it out. It will show in your cart whether an American flag offers it from the New Jersey warehouse. I'm based in California and shop from Jackson's frequently, and I can say they are a great company! I've never paid over $13 for shipping, but most of the time, it's free. Louise's Schmincke Horadam palette is the best you could hope for! 😊

A lovely choice of colours and what a thrill for you to have your name on the tin. Congratulations! I'm a beginner to watercolour painting and have started by making colour swatches. I'm puzzled why you have a line drawn through each of your boxes for the colour swatching though. Maybe someone could explain please. Thanks.

if you would have two more slots for extras, which colours would you choose? I would add to mine transparent orange, which Iove for mixes (beginnerfriendly I guess) and a violett, because I am not so good in mixing it, when I look for a specific tone. not sure, why I struggle with this tone.

Not related to this video, but I remember asking you over a year ago what brushes you prefer and I believe you told me that you use Da Vinci Maestro brushes. I looked them up and they're insanely expensive- like $67 for a Size 7 Round. WOW. Do you actually pay that much for these? Or are they cheaper in Australia or something. That is crazy expensive. It just piqued my curiosity when I looked up the price so I just wanted to ask. I believe they're made with kolinsky sable so I know that's why they're pricey. Just curious if they're worth it?

They are very expensive. A #7 round in Australia is $156.80. They are beautiful to paint with and they suit my style of painting. If you look after them they last a long time.

I also use 80% of the pigments and also as single pigments for the same resons mixing..only instead of prussian blue witch is not the best lightfast color i use indatherine blue p.b 60 and instead of that nickle p.y 150 i use p.y 154 ..I dont like heavy metsl pigments at all..cobalts nickl zinc etc..p.y 154 is non toxic yellow brilliant richness and mixing power.also p.y 151.

😄yeah that phthalo green - a bit ugly on its own, but great for mixes - even for beginners
