I wish they would sell the salad dressing separately! I love the one in the tomato mozzarella salad. Balsamic vinaigrette. 😋
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
I agree❣️They always have the best tasting salad dressings in the prepackaged containers for some reason.

How do you prepare the delicate squash? Baked with olive oil?
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
Wash/Rinse the entire squash since you will be eating the skin and sometimes I noticed there’s a sticky film on the outside, then cut it down the middle, scrape all the seeds out and then cut it into half moon strips 🌙 and lay on baking sheet, spray avocado oil over it, sprinkle a little salt and bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes until you start seeing a golden char on it. I like to roast it until the skin gets a little hard or crunchy even. It’s soooooo good and tastes sweet and nutty. To me it tastes like a cross between a Japanese sweet potato 🍠 a chestnut 🌰 and a squash. Curious to hear your thoughts after you try it❣️

I need to try the squash. 😋 is it like a dessert squash? Not so savory?
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
YAY 😃 Please do❣️I’m not so sure I’d call it a dessert squash, but maybe it should be called that since it is sweeter than the other squashes like butternut and honey nut. I’ve only prepared it by roasting it because I love it when the skin crisps up a little bit which gives it a little texture contrast to the softness of the squash. Also I cut them in smaller pieces because they roast more evenly and helps develop a golden brown char.

So glad you bough the mini apple 🍎 pie. Fruity desserts are my favorite. I'm going to try baking the delicatta squash. Who buy 5 squash??? Guess 😅 waiting till we get cooler temp. As usual good entertaining haul.👍

Omg please try it❣️I hope I didn’t hype it up too much but they really are so good. Slightly nutty and sweet and starchy…so delicious. To me it tastes kinda like a cross between a Japanese sweet potato 🍠 and chestnut 🌰 and a squash. I am the crazy one who buys 5 squash 🙋♀️🤣 I’m obsessed! I have been eating one almost daily since they returned this season 😳 I need to slow down but I also want to indulge in them every year when they come back 🤤 Will be reviewing the apple pies soon! Are you going to try them?
@eg1197 Жыл бұрын
@@traderjoesgeeki thought it was funny, and cute that you obsessively ❤ love the delicatta squash 😮. Enjoy them while they're in season. I needs to find out myself what am i missing 🤔. You should see me when Fuyu Persimmon in season 🤪 Plan on going Mon/Tues. Will pick up Butternut mac cheese, Herbes de Provence seasoning, mini apple pie the individual size appeals to me greatly 😀 . Maybe a cannister of that new Maple pepper nut(??), biscotti (bit more time consuming to eat one 🌟 ) Bough a sack of Murasaki sweet potatoes last month. Taste like candied yam naturally. Couple years ago, TJ's carried Murasaki sweet potatoes chip>>❤. Oh yea that Bbq chip are good too.

@@eg1197 sounds like a great shopping list you have there❣️so the new maple spiced nut mix is already sold out at my store 😢 I was debating whether to get it and now that I made up my mind to get it of course they are gone. I might have missed my chance but at the same time not too bummed because there are a plethora of other goodies to choose from. Omg yes I remember the murasaki potato chips. What a throwback! The mini apple cakes interest me too because of the individual portions. I plan to store them in the freezer and take one out at a time when I get a craving 😋 Would you say the pumpkin biscotti tastes more like gingerbread or pumpkin bread? I heard a review saying it tasted mostly like a gingerbread cookie…
@eg1197 Жыл бұрын
@traderjoesgeek if I remembered what the pumpkin 🎃 biscotti tasted like. It was a very subtle taste. Thought it was more pumpkin tasting. Gingerbread flavoring are heavier and more prevalent. Didn't tasted that. I like biscotti cookies alot. Someone gave me some homemade anise biscotti awhile back, what a game changer. Just very time consuming to make.
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
@@eg1197 thanks for letting me know…funny you mention anise cookies! I actually have some in my pantry but store bought which I’ll settle for (Stella D’Oro) because anise cookies are hard to come by.

Need to get those caramel baking chips and it looks like it's GF. You are the 1st TJ creator to show these.❤
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching❣️They’re indeed gluten free & says it on the front of the bag 😍 I melted them (took a little while but once I stirred it up, it was fine) and drizzled it over apple slices to make apple “nachos” but instead of it having a caramel ooey gooey glaze it turned out more like a matte dry bark finish if that makes sense. Still good but just not what I expected. I actually prefer them in it’s natural state (not melted) and eating it with apple slices, pretzels, & pecans (like a little snack mix)or adding it as a topping to yogurt. Still need to try actually baking with it though…

Great video! I have been looking for the Pumkin cinnamon rolls ☹ I'm sad they won't be back this year. But my waistline is grateful 😂I liked the Pumpkin muffins too. I would love to try the squash! How do you cook it?
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
😆 I hear ya. Sometimes it’s a blessing that certain items don’t come back 🤭 so glad you liked the pumpkin muffins. Those are one of my favorite items. If it wasn’t for the boxes of pumpkin scones I have, I would have got it. Have you tried the pumpkin blondie brownies? Those are one of my faves also (but tastes more like a dense pumpkin bread). Omg please try the delicata squash. Wash the entire thing, then cut it down the middle, scrape all the seeds out and then cut it into half moon strips 🌙 and lay on baking sheet, spray avocado oil over it, sprinkle a little salt and bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes until you start seeing a golden char on it. Does this go on for a few more weeks? I’m trying to get there on Tuesday ! I can’t believe they discontinued bathe pumpkin cinnamon rolls I had them for the first time last year they were amazing!! 😞 I’m addicted to the jerk plantain chips I love to eat on the beach I live in Florida now😀 my favorite chip snack and jalapeño puffs
@traderjoesgeek Жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy 🤗 It does go on for a couple more weeks❣️But I already overheard today that the maple fudge is already sold out and gone for the season in my store and they won’t be ordering more. I think in October though they will probably be coming out with all the Thanksgiving items with a vengeance so probably better to stock up when you go on Tuesday just in case. Omg I had a phase where I was obsessed with the jerk plantain chips. I ate them so much that I’m sick of them and have been taking a LONG break from them. The corn & jalapeño puffs are yummy too. Great beach snacks for sure 😋

Omg yay 🎃🎃 what color did you end up getting? I haven’t tried the apple cinnamon buns because I’m not a big fan of cinnamon rolls or buns actually even though I like all 3 of those things (apple, cinnamon, & bread). Long story long, I probably won’t try them but from what I’ve I heard so far people seem to enjoy them 😋 but haven’t heard rave reviews either. Are you going to try them?
