Finally a Premium Economy cabin where it is actually premium. Other airlines just offer slightly bigger seats but you get all the same stuff from regular economy including the same meals. Glad to see Emirates make it a real difference.

That's what passengers need. Extra leg room in minimum cost. If they wanted other luxury. They would choose business class. Airlines must keep the price of premium economy low. Because Price sensitive economy class travelers are the target market for premium economy. They need premium economy for comfort. Business class travelers don't seek premium economy as they can afford business class.

The glamour didn't disappear, it's still there in first class. There only was a not so glamorous economy class added, as passengers were asking for lower fares, what led to more seats per squaremeter and a no frills product.

They’ve had this on routes to LHR for about 6 months plus. You couldn’t purchase an upgrade but as a gold skywards member I got it free 4 flights in a row. It’s definitely worth the upgrade from economy but you wouldn’t trade down from business. All in all though a great product.

Definitely would give premium economy a try. I normally travel business class on long flights over 6hrs and Economy for less than 5hrs. Emirates premium economy has a nice balance so would definitely try this for a 3hr-5hr long flight.

How can you say it's "just a little bit more" when it is double the price of the economy? This is misleading. A flight from Auckland to Dubai costs NZ$2700 for the economy and a whopping NZ$5400 on Economy premium! So I pay NZ@2700 more just to sit on the leather seat, have a glass of wine, a footrest, and some sweets? Seriously? This is a rip-off, totally not worth it. It shouldn't cost more than 25% of the economy price.

Be careful folks ! I’ve been working with Emirates for the past 4 years and this company won’t give a damn about its staffs health and well being , despite harsh covid times I’ve been living in accommodation since then even though it’s really effecting my mind and health yet they don’t allow us to move to a new place so it can be a change yet hiring new crew and giving them better place to live then the seniors crew who had been faithful to Emirates . There are many more to crew life 😢this is just one of them .

I love the way she says “everyone’s been talking about it”. Absolutely no one this side of Notting Hill has been talking about it, not even in the pubs of the Cotswolds and certainly not in the lower reaches of southern England. It’s that creepy family who are always that this advert displays. All I would say is why are aircraft seats designed by accountants and very short people. There is absolutely no accounting for height and leg length in any modern aircraft. It’s the length of the femur in a person that defines comfort. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’m wedged into a seat for innumerable hours then levered out with a crow bar (poetic licence there if you don’t mind). Off to Seattle next week - I may update to let you know how I get on…..

And by "a little more" they mean almost three times as much as economy. I fly business class when it makes sense, but don't have so much money I can afford to pay a 150% premium just to get a tiny bit bigger seat and marginally better options. People take shots at US domestic, but you are paying a tiny fraction of what international flights charge so why would you expect the same level of seat/food/service? For example, flew business class to Cancun which was half the price of Emirates premium economy from London to Dubai.

There’s no fundamental difference between Emirates Premium Economy versus other European or Asian carriers. Except P.E on an A380 is just nicer as A380s are a much nicer experience anyway. More legroom. Inflight wifi, business class dining, welcome drinks, extra baggage. Most airlines have dedicated checkin for premium economy in their main hubs too.

Where do you think they got all the munchkin sized actors for this advertorial from? Sure, Emirates Premium Economy offers much better space than budget airlines economy, and Emirates is a great airline even if you're in cattle class, but their PE doesn't offer that much more space. My guesstimate is that all of the actors were under 1.7m tall. And yes I have an attitude about such matters. For me, aircraft seats are so low to the ground that my knees are up around my ears and the head rest cradles my neck.

Em um voo na Emirates não recebi minha refeição que havia selecionado ao comprar a passagem no site, tive que escolher entre porco e peixe. O peixe não estava ruim, mas a refeição em si foi bem abaixo do esperado, tinha bastante arroz branco, alguns vegetais e o peixe. I’ve traveled Economy EVERY time I’ve been on Emirates, and the experience, from even the first time I flew with the airline, was amazing! Of course, you have more limited options in the economy, and the seats are more cramped up (since they structure their seating in a plane in the economy as a 3 - 4 - 3 seat configuration. But it is still great. In my eyes, if you compare Emirates economy to another international airline, economy class in Emirates will seem like Premium economy or maybe even first class, depending on the airline you compare it to.

In the 90s, this type of service and food quality was easily found on Cathay Pacific and even North West Airlines on a long haul for economy. Food was served with stainless steel cutlery, blankets, pillows and headsets were free of charge. Heck, you could even ask for a brand new pack of playing cards to keep. Yes, it didn't have quilted seats or that extra couple of inches of leg room but economy really wasn't bad at all. How times have changed for the worst.

I hope Emirates rehires all the cabin crew and pilots they laid off. Many previous Emirates pilots are now working in super markets, its so sad to see so many people have their lives completely turned upside down.
