In that era, and even in some form today, hip hop and rap artists need an A-side and a B-side, a set of songs for the mainstream radio crowd and a set of songs for the hardcore fans (some of which were mainstream radio fans at one point) in order to find success in the music industry. Honestly if it wasn’t for the mainstream success Fat Joe and even Pun was able to achieve, they pull the have been as big and revered as the legends that they are now

Respect Mine is my favorite song on JOE. That album should be re-reviewed because it is a classic. The only weak song on there is the song "Envy" because it messes up the flow of the album. It should have gotten a remix
