SAME QUESTION! Please ... this is really important, and I hope there will be an answer soon.
@bluesmama511 ай бұрын
Same question. Chords symbols are personal. For example. I hate triangles and minus signs. Old school trained. Piston Harmony. And Clinton Roemers book Toward a Standardization of chord symbols. I have a decent hand so I’m thinking for lead sheets just leave chords symbols blank. I don’t need a lot of features but it is important. For example 20 year old Encore Mark of the Unicorn software you could lay a text block down anywhere. And you could hit Petrucci font for your flats and sharpies and naturals. Anybody have a work around???

Hello! Thank you for these great tutorials. How can I add more chords on one long note? Let's say that I have a whole note that lasts the whole bar and I want to change chord on every beat.
@alfredjodokusquack22 жыл бұрын
you could notate the long note split in several shorter notes, according to the rhythm, and tie them together with ties.

Is it possible to add Latine chords? DO, RE, MI, etc
@BenTorres13 жыл бұрын
I don't know if this has been answered, and I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer either... BUT in finale, you would create some invisible rests on layer 2, then add your chords on layer 2. I see staffpad supports layers. Does it work the same way?

It is possible use a different chords symbols? For example, use Maj7 instead of the triangle7?

Unfortunately, although my StaffPad has updated, two things still do not occur: the print screen is different and does not slide the screen to the right of the chosen instruments. How to deal with it?

Is this an iPad or Mac OS? Forgive my ignorance of Apple products. I'm the stiff, uncool dude in the blue suit (Microsoft). Can Staffpad be installed on either being that it's an app? I think I'd much prefer it on a new generation iPad.

I use this on a Surface Pro and it's love!

@@LA6507a My surface pro 6 still serves my needs well, works like new, except BT4.1 instead of 5 which is a major step down in high fidelity with high-end wireless earbuds, and it's minus wifi 802.11ax (WiFi 6) which is a major loss of speed since I upgraded to a 4 processor Huawei AX3 and the equivalent Xiaomi WiFi 6 routers. The graphics card is weak and the screen clarity and resolution are anemic next to a retina display with low glare, not to mention the 4 HiFi speakers and the 5 studio-grade microphones. Don't get me started on the generic Intel graphics chip. I prefer the Microsoft software because it's innately ingrained in me, but I wish Microsoft would up its hardware design to something competitive. I wish StaffPad would make the pen/ink features consistent across platforms.

You missed an important thing: you haven't taught us how to input # and b using the keyboard. I've tried, but shift3 gives me a strange symbol instead of #, and Bb is just the letters B and b, not B flat. I'm still looking for a solution. *****updated 10mins later: To input the # symbol, you need to use the option+3 key combination, not shift+3. This may seem a bit unusual at first. The reason why Bb is not the same as B-flat is that you can't type it in the "text mode" where you can specify expression and tempo markings. Instead, you need to use a dedicated "chord mode" to input chords. Moving the cursor and using shortcut [T] are not the recommended way to enter chords.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGqvdoOKlsqdbJo "but they do transpose". unless they do not. just tested this on iOS and windows tablet. when transposing the whole song, the lead sheet style chord symbols above the staff should change accordingly. sometimes they do. sometimes not. most of the time a random selection of symbols changes. @StaffPad please fix!

Don’t recommend using a triangle symbol in music notation. As a professional copiest, it’s not correct notation. With a program as sophisticated as StaffPad better to use professional notation.
@nicholasomary80315 ай бұрын
Triangle much better for musicians to read. We play in dark situations most the time. I can see the difference of a triangle much better.
