Zan Aae, thank you for watching the video :-) Rabat, Morocco is beautiful and definitly has modern elements: fast TGV, Wifi, restored buildings, paved roads and a neopolitan twist! See you on the next adventure.

Welcome to Morocco , and thank you for enriching the diversity of Rabat , we need more expacts like yourself ...unfortunately Morocco despite being super cheap and has modern standards is not attracting enough foreigners willing to establish themselves temporarily or to immigrate .....

Ayyyye Alizia! Good seeing you. Would love to see you more at eye level. I know it’s hard on the camera man for us short folks 😅. Especially walking while talking. My main camera man is 6’3” and I’m 5’5” but it adds a lot more authority to every thing that you’re saying. It’s subtle but the shots at eye level connected more

@@Aliziawanders If you're still in Rabat, do Agdal and Riyad boroughs which is where locals actually gather. and do the parks, because Rabat is full of parks. Culture, just a few meters from where you are there is the M6 contemporary museum, it has a Eugene De La Croix exposition right now, had some Goya, Picasso etc expos last year, so it's always a good place to visit, and on the opposite side of the street, up just 50 meters from that museum, there is the Museum of Moroccan Civilization, in which you can spend a good half day and which has expositions of artefacts dating as far as the phenician era (10th century BC) and up to recent times). PS: Also Rabat is not flat! that was so funny to hear, sure compared to the steepest parts of Tetouan, but it literally goes up and down all the time, you need to visit other borrows! foreigners unfortunately stay always at the city center (I guess it's the name, but that's just the name of the area) when Rabat has at least 4 city centers (Hassan where you are in this video is mostly touristic, and historical buildings but not many administration buildings contrary to what you think, the only administration there is the parliament house in red in your video. Agdal borough for , malls, restaurants, night life, and it's where most administrations are actually at. Riyad, newest administrative borough, shopping, restaurants, business city. And finally Souissi, mostly low density , high status residential, has all embassies and some malls. Then there are less known boroughs like Ocean borough, which has a 12km green walkside by the ocean, the Rotenburg fort and museum of photography, etc. and where some of the biggest malls of Rabat are being built.

@@moorishstar Thank you for these insights. I love all of these neighborhoods too. Especially l'ocean which is super active and feels like Oakland back in the 90's. Not to mention the beach and oudaya. Its got a gritty vibe and nice art scene going on. Also enjoyed the moroccan bank expo with the bank notes dating back to the phoenician times. Agdal certainly has a western vibe and a Starbucks 😅 Thank you for the conversation... and I will definitly talk about these other parts of Rabat and the riads. stay tuned for all your requested videos 🌻

What a beautiful video! You made me remember some things and dream about other ones. Rabat is very different from Tetouan. I actually had the doubt if people in Morocco were expecting strangers to dress in some special way and I was embarrased to ask, but what I learned from my own experience and from your video is that you can feel free to be yourself. Thanks for sharing! And be sure to try those tacos (minute 18) and tell me how good they are!
@Aliziawanders3 жыл бұрын
I would say Rabat is bigger than Tetouan and definitly more active, more hyped, and more westernized. Tetouan is still the best tho 😀. Glade that the video clarified any questions for you. Yes, this is "Tacos de nice" you see in the video. A franchise all around Morroco. I tried them. I've difinitly seen better. Stay tunned for my video about best tacos in Rabat 😉
