Discover the Hidden Treasures that is Bolingbroke Castle

I used to walk my dog around the rout yard (where you started) and around the ruins every day when I lived in Old Bolingbroke. It is a beautiful village to wander round, the white building at the end is the local pub, but unfortunately this is very rarely open these days. If you turn right out of the gates from the castle the first building you will see on your right is an old watermill, with the wheel still in place. I loved it there, very peaceful, and very friendly people.

It is a real hidden gem, isn’t it?.? I also really like the church, definitely worth a visit to it when you’re there. Michael.

The church is kept open I believe for anyone to have a look around. The high ground you can see from there is Grantham Point, from up there you can see Norfolk.
