My love of jewellery began when my father took me to a tiny, exclusive store and had me select a white gold setting for an aquamarine and blue sapphires ring. It was my 20th birthday and I am now 80, and still have the ring!

My father did something similar, and as he was a businessman who traveled a lot he also loved to buy jewelery on these travels. Especially pedants because they can change a chain and outfit at once, for example an elephant pendant with a beautiful ruby on it and precious stones like a yellow topaz or a big smokey quartz stone. He had a very humble upbringing with no jewelery at home at all in his younger years but somehow he had a sence of style. I miss him everyday.

Great suggestions! I have a lot of “sets” and find them to be too much if the earrings are worn with the necklace unless they are simple in design and small in size. It was nice to see the different earrings mixing with a necklaces. It gave me some ideas to use moving forward. Thanks and it’s great to have you back!

Hi Dominique. Love your videos. Would you consider doing a video on purses and where to buy a good sunglass purse that has a shoulder strap and a good one for our cell phones and a water bottle holder with strap. If you wore super expensive diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, they would really suit your personality and appearance. Great video Dominique….I’ve loved jewelry since I was very young girl. When I would visit my grandmother she’d let me look into her jewelry box at all her pretty pieces of sparkling jewelry and I’d try them on, I loved doing that. My mom was a beautiful brunette and she had some really nice silver statement pieces.

Dom, after my Mom passed away, I gave myself a gift to celebrate my 11-year caregiving journey with her.....I knew she would approve.... a carat on each ear lobe, martini setting. Jewelry makes me feel polished and usually tells a little about my mood at the time.

When I was kindergarten age, my mom and I went to a jewelry store and I was mesmerized by all the beautiful gold rings they had - even tiny ones my size - and I asked if I could have one, my mother said no. I was EXTREMELY sad! I couldn't get my mind to stop thinking about those glistening gemstone rings of many different colors. A few days later, when I was walking home from school all by myself, I heard ding ding ding ding ding! The chiming sounds were coming from somethings falling out of my pocket and hitting the sidewalk. I wasn't sure what was going on. I bent down to see a count of 10 beautiful rings glistening in the sun - I was stunned - I thought it was a dream and could hardly believe my eyes, I picked them up one by one, putting one on each finger, one more beautiful than the next. Turns out that my mother snuck the rings into my jacket pocket that was kept in my school cubby while I was in class. Neither of us knew there was a hole in my pocket until those rings fell out. This dear memory has lasted a lifetime😊❤

I think I am neutral toned..I look good in both gold and silver. is that a thing? Never could figure out skin tones. I always tanned easy, was light blonde naturally, I'm dark ash/silvery gray strands( my hair stylist says it beautiful, but I still am shocked, stopped coloring hair in 2020). am winter colors. idk, its all confusing to me

I wear glasses (fashionable ones) because I just see better than I do with contacts. But I always feel like they compete with any jewelry I might wear. My current glasses are a silver and plum matte metallic, so I don’t feel like I can wear gold earrings with them. Any suggestions for how to pair jewelry with glasses?

I loved this video but would like to share something which you didn't touch on. As we age, styles that used to suit us suddenly don't work anymore. For example, sagging earlobes cannot support heavy or dangly earrings and arthritic fingers are more suited to delicate pieces.
