Interesting review, i like watermelon more than melon. However, the designer classic watermelon missing here is D&G L' Imperatrice, its a modern classic worth knowing, leaning more fem than masc, but initially the line was created as unisex.

My father loved Polo Sport for Women by Ralph Lauren in the 90s, i was 8-10 yrs old on that time and i got into fragrance because of him and that fragrance smell like watermelon skin, not sweet but crisp… i missed that a lot that perfume… i will share this video to him, he will appreciate your expertise because he hasn’t find anything like it

Aquatic perfumes came into my life in my teens. L’eau par Kenzo and then l’eau d’Issey by Issey Miyake. And then the craze around l’eaus of all sorts has started. Even Serge Lutens and Chanel succumbed to the zeitgeist. 😅 very rarely do I reach out for those aquatic fragrances… although, Issey Miyake L’eau d’Issey pure nectar I still like a lot.

You should try Watermelon Shine by Copper Still Fragrances. Think moonshine with watermelon and yuzu. A really small indie house which honors Appalachian roots. I love it. I have a bunch of your list and love the others but this hits differently. A boozy watermelon

My first melon/watermelon perfume was clinique simply, I got a bottle in liquidation sale just because I was a teen and the perfume was cheap. Honestly, it was so good, I remember it to this day and really miss it. Bummer they discontinued it and I got probably the remaining last bottle.

Calyx was said to have notes of overripe melon. I loved the original, and there's been nothing like it since.

Thank you, Sebastian for another great review! I only have one watermelon fragrance, and it is by Guerlain. Flora Salvaggia is an EDT with watermelon, iris, violet, and white floral notes. It is light and easy to wear for weekends AM, after the gym, or hot summer days. It has a hint of watermelon kept very legere by the iris and violet notes. Room 1015 sounds like a very interesting house, looking forward to try some of their creations.

I LOVE Brezza di Mare from Profumi di Firenze. It smells like you’re cutting into a real watermelon and is so good. The longevity isn’t the longest but the price is reasonable. I believe you used to speak on this one. Summer in a bottle.

Have you heard of Solstice by Andrea Maack? I've not tested it but I've enjoyed many of their other fragrances. Solstice is an extrait strength aquatic watermelon that is reported to be very realistic and juicy without being candy sweet. I like the way this house uses fresh/green notes and I'm curious to know if anyone has an opinion on Solstice!

Hi Sebastian, I don’t know whehter you try oud Zanzibar from blended oud. It is one of the best woody watermelon , non synthetic blend I have get my nose on. You barely get any oud. The oud comes off as woody. Longevity is great and it can be wear all year around

Yes we love watermelon!! I want to add more of this note to my collection. Wave child is on my shopping list, just waiting for it to be back in stock in Jovoy. Jerome di Marino is on my radar at the moment! I have an old bottle of L'Imperatrice from D&G that I almost have away, but I'm glad I kept it as I found the watermelon note so refreshing when it gets hot. There's lots here that I have to get my nose on, I'm particularly interested in Soir Vert. Great video, thank you! 🍉🍉🍉

Hydra by Contes de Parfums opens with watermelon and mint! It turns into an aquatic and salty scent that I tend to layer with Paula's Ibiza. Clean and musky, totally unisex, the sweetness is very low

Melon is challenging for me. I've found a handful that I enjoy in the following order: Jusbox Feelin' Chill, 1015 Wavechild, Andrea Maack Solstice, Giardini Tuscana Celeste. I haven't found any others I enjoy. The melon note in Ani X completely ruined it for me. It actually repulsed me. I can't handle the fragrance until it's gone.

I really didn't find Summer of 84 challenging I only wish the top notes stayed a bit longer. I am not a huge fan of peach but that BON PARFUMEUR 202 sounds really good how strong is the peach note?
