I bought my bass from Carlos as well. It's estimated to be between 1880-1915. i bought it for $1700, and spent $30,000 having it restored over three years. Carlos is a blessing...

They were standard orchestra gauge. There's isn't a light tension of Perpetuals, but there is a solo tuning set.
