Lei ha perfettamente ragione, specie sull'ultimo punto. Quando il Pugliese molti anni fa commentò l'LP del Werther di Schipa parlò di "canto eccezionale, a tratti sconvolgente" ed ebbe a dire di Alfredo Kraus che "non è che la pallida ombra di quella che che è stata una civiltà superiore, non solo musicale". E parlava di un grande tenore. Fuguriamoci gli altri! Oggi solo Florez merita la palma di tenore da ricordare. Come Roswaenge può concorrere alla palma di migliore di sempre.

Ich habe ihn mit fast siebzig Jahren noch gehört, er war umwerfend, man kann sich gut vorstellen, dass in der Dresdner Oper die Kronleuchter gewackelt haben, wenn er los legte.

Excellent - Yet, there is unnecesary high note at the end "gibt mir wieder WAS du fandest". Also, In original German "Teile es mit mir, Ja mit Mir" is far easier than the popularized Italian version with "Ah di dolor morro, si morro"
