@@1AndyMead thanks mate! One of those days where it was largely military, can’t force it unfortunately but hopefully next time we can wiggle out some older targets! Cheers bud! 😁

Hi mate, love that when you mention nostalgic feelings about your past finds. That is exactly how I feel about many places and locations. I probably have several dozen areas permanently engraved into my memory from some pretty special finds over the years. I get the same feeling when I whip out the Rambo 1, 2 & 3 boxset, or the Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy 😅 When coins stick together like that, it's when someone has been sat on the floor, the coins fall out together in a stack. They then remain in a stack while being consumed by the grass and earth. I always pull them apart, as sometimes the sides stuck together can be really well preserved and still be the same colour they were when minted. Rare though, as mostly they are corroded to hell inbetween, hence why you might get a bit of a dodgey or irony signal. You had a great little spot there for lunch, have you ever detected around them trees? Ahh I feel like you just mentioned the musket balls came from the woods !! Enjoyed the video, I see a tiny bit of my own channel in yours, what Software are you using to edit? Do you do it on your phone or a computer? I use something called Filmora, on a laptop, so can jump on anytime and do a bit of editing, mostly on lunchbreaks at work. Keep up the great work - if you ever fancy a trip to Derbyshire for a day, give me a shout

Hello buddy! You always leave such knowledgeable and nice comments! Its a fantastic hobby and amazing that you can cherish a place so much based on some history you have found. Impossible i know, but i would love to go back in time and be a fly on the wall to the day some of these items were dropped. I've had a dig around the trees on passing but never properly gone over the area. There's quite a few metal bins in the woods which look to have been used for burning rubbish. Unfortunately i think alot of that rubbish has ended up buried in the woodland as thats all i seem to find - and of course, musket balls! I really like the way you edit your videos and I have definitely taken some tips from watching you, especially on your camera angles and trying to provide a better experience for people watching, rather than your bog-standard two hands in front of a camera showing an item. I use a program on the computer called 'Capcut', I record everything on my IPhone and then when it comes to editing, i transfer the files to my computer. I would jump at the opportunity to come to Derbyshire for a days detecting - Thanks! I will have to speak to my farmer and see if i can reciprocate the same for you about coming down South! I saw you were out with Paddy Detects in one of his videos not long ago. I believe they are fairly nearby to me! Perhaps we could arrange something in the new year? My email is on my youtube 'about me'. Feel free to email if you are up for it! Thanks again - Jake :)

Beautiful scenery, beautiful day, great hunt! I'd love to do some detecting in the UK. Two coins stuck together.... That is awesome man! You've already identified both of them, so really no need to separate them I suppose. Are you lovin' that M9 coil? I need to sell my M15 (not much use for it where I am) and pick up one of those M9's.

@@sc_marauder492 it was a lovely day mate! The M9 is brilliant, I haven’t noticed any difference in the amount I’m digging or depth. It’s just a lot clearer and really pin points the targets!

Yet another excellent vid, Jake. BTW I think you could be right about the firing range - there's the site of a Napoleonic-era militia range a couple of miles up the road from where I live and the ground there is littered with musket balls.

@@bwc1878 I just don’t know what else it could have been? It’s uncanny how many musket balls I’ve found on that field and I’ve barely scraped the surface with it 🤷🏽♂️ thanks as always for your kind words! All the best to you mate! 👍🏽
