Discovering a Technics SL-MC4 61-CD Changer

I test out a Technics SL-MC4 Compact Disc Changer that I picked up at a thrift store for ONE DOLLAR. Then, I look inside to see how it manages to play up to 61 CDs. And along the way, I make one SHOCKING discovery!

How do you replace the O ring after cover removed?

You didn't show how you removed the side screws. A regular Phillips head screwdriver won't work on them. (It will work on the two back screws.) So are they JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screws or what? I have a Technics 5 Disc Changer SL-PD6 that just stopped working after 20+ years. I wanted to open it up & see if there is a simple fix. But don't have a JIS screw driver (yet.) So I want to know how you removed those 2 side screws from each side. Appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

I think I just used a Phillips screwdriver on them, though I don't remember specifically. I just looked at the unit again, and the screws are a little dinged up, so they maybe whatever I used didn't fit perfectly but worked anyway.
