Take a close look at the tombs of the Napatan kings who conquered and ruled Egypt from the late 8th century to 666 BCE, using objects that the MFA excavated from 1913 to 1932 with archeologist George Reisner. Napatan kings later held sway over the kingdom of Kush in the northern Sudan, and built pyramids for themselves and their wives in cemeteries at Kurru and Napata. Studying these lavishly decorated pyramids, and the mortuary rites that took place in the attached chapels, makes clear some of the differences between ancient Egyptian and Napatan beliefs and priorities.

i am from the nile valley aka the nilotic people and coming from atribe i can tell everybody that the difference between the nubians and miot(ancient egyptians)was tribal the nubians spoke acushitic dialect which is related to the oromo, nuba, somali, sandawe while the egyptians spoke anilotic/proto kalenjin dialect which is closely related to the languages of modern kalenjin of kenya it is so easy to arrive at this conclusion based on what the egyptians left behind i.e their God isis, neteru is the same name for god in kalenjin dialect, maat is kalenjin for fire and the maasai or the maa people are again asubtribe among the nilotes we have pharaohs senusret, mentuhotep, menkaure, sesostris, luput, ramesis, tutmosis, amasis, psamtik, nekau, amenhotep, seti, psusenes etc all this names are kalenjin names and can be recognized by anyone who speaks this particular dialect.so it can be said that the egyptians and the people of taseti were the same but atribal tiff existed among them just like modern day tribal issues between modern african tribes infact the saites dynasty 26th dynasty vs the 25th dynasty kings is a classic case of this rivalry the kalenjin pharaohs nekau hellenized as necho helped the assyrians under ashurbanipal kick out tirhakah out of egypt their was no way the assyrians would have succeeded without this tribal tiff.the assyrian army was helped by the kalenjin pharaohs and their warriors to fight against their nubian overlords.

About iron production in Africa: iron is being produced at 2300BC at Benoue in what is now Central African Republic & Cameroon. Radio carbon dating on this is very reliable. See the work of Chris Ehret, Distinguished Research Prof at UCLA. Good presentation. Yes to the idea that Darfur road was an opening into West African bulge (the Kayenga). That's why it has changed hands so often and why there has been so much historical conflict surrounding Darfur. North of Darfur into Chad was too dry and south was too humid forest. Darfur was a corridor where the West African savannah would jut almost into the Nile Valley.

Mr. Scott, thank you for your comment. I am researching this topic. Can you point me to a specific publication where Chris Ehret has published that date regarding iron smelting in West Africa? I have not been able to find it yet. Everything I see regarding Benoue says 2400BP (before present) to 2200BP, which translates to roughly 400 to 200 BCE. I would love to have something solid saying Benoue smelting is much older.

@@AfriasporaFilms 400 to 200 BCE would not be controversial or even worth reporting. Go to Ehret's most recent lecture at Harvard on KZbin. This is where he mentions the work at Benoue. I tried contacting Prof. Ehret directly via his email pre-pandemic and got no response. There are articles reporting the ancient Benoue date that are accessible via Google.

When you look at traditional dress of Egyptians today and dress of ancient Egypt there's no connection; yet when you look at the tribes all over Africa, you see the same traditional dress(as in outfits for lack of a better word) that was worn in Ancient Egypt...from beads, hairstyles, clothing, pottery- you name it!

I am baffled by all the bold assumptions that the Kushites took Egyptian artifacts and made them their own. And what about the ancient kingdom of Ta-Seti which preceded ancient Egypt? Had it ever occurred to you that the whole thing started from the South and progressed towards the North?

It certainly has occurred to them, it's very obvious, the Egyptians said it themselves! They just don't want to address it because of the implications.

No they did not use Egyptian pictures , it was the other way around but Egyptologist say that because they know where the makers of the art and structures come from and it is not them. why do you think Egypt has denied a lot of access to unopened areas of certain older tombs and in the middle of the night they are secretly excavating . Because they are scared the truth will be found out that they are not the culture that they have been claiming to be all this time. builders of pyramids and all things great to antiquity .

1:21:31 I would think the link is the original name for Kom Ombo which was Nwbyt/Nwb.t. Likely the change is the Romanization of the several Nwb.t municipality names within Kemet itself to have the references of "Nubia" being less consistently African linguisically, and then later you have Axumite King Ezana using Nobatae (African again) for what was Meroitic Kush that he conquered.
