And crazy that it's all just sitting there right by the trails... all over the place!

Homolovi is my favorite campground that you have visited. If I ever get up the courage to try camping that’s the one I will try. For now I will live my camping through your videos.

Homolovi campground is a great choice for cutting one's teeth if they're not used to camping. The closeness to Winslow helps too.

A very cool site. When I was a little whipper snapper I used to want to be an Archeologist. I would dream of finding pottery and arrowheads. How awesome!

Indiana Jones might have influenced me a time or two in my younger years. 😅

Glenn and Amy this is another fascinating video. I have never heard of Homolovi. Going to be leaving Colorado soon heading to Arizona and can't wait. Arizona is home to me and I enjoy so much learning through your videos about places that I have never heard of.. I got acquainted with Native American history when I worked at the Ute Indian Museum in Montrose CO. It was very interesting to see videos of the cultures of the different Native Americans. Thank you.

I have never heard of this place and I’ve lived in Arizona for almost 27 years. 😁💜👍 So cool! Hopefully our place will stand that long.

Loved the excitement from finding the pottery! And I really loved what looks like warm weather! Its cold and snowy here... Im ready for winter to end!
@CactusAtlas3 жыл бұрын
Wwwwwell.... about that weather. It might have been filmed back in July. 😅 Not sure we're ready for warmer weather here though. Endless months above 110 degrees did a number on us last summer. Haha! Outside of this last week's weather it's been fairly mild this winter.

Really cool stuff. Takes me back to my college days when I studied Anthropology.
@CactusAtlas3 жыл бұрын
Oh neat! I took one anthropology class way back in college. I knew it wouldn't be some Indiana Jones type of thing but also never realized there could be so many different names for what essentially looks like a rock. LOL -amy

Pretty cool to see these structures and it's awesome that they are at a state park. Very interesting. Never heard of this park but it looks interesting.
@CactusAtlas3 жыл бұрын
Looking into the history it appears they made it a state park to protect the buildings and pottery as there was theft and some destruction in the past. Pretty cool that they left the pottery pieces to be seen!

We’ve been to Winslow but didn’t have time to explore. We need to change that! Not sure I’ll like the bugs. Love the pottery and the ruins. It is really cool to hold a small piece of history in your hands.
@CactusAtlas3 жыл бұрын
Isn't it? It's fascinating to hold a piece and think of the people who crafted and painted it so long ago.

Original man cave 😂. It was so cool to see the artifacts that were still on site. Hopefully people continue to leave those preserved as they are. The bugs. Yuck! Seems like you had medium-low expectations initially but it exceeded your expectations. Always a pleasant surprise when that happens.

It's amazing what artifacts lay about in places from long ago. We've got a video next week that's somewhat similar and it really makes one wonder what things are just sitting out there unknown.

Thanks for sharing your Wise View on why NOT to take anything Except for 🗑️ TRASH🗑️ from anywhere. Think I'd rather deal with a few snakes than Thousands of Bugs.
@CactusAtlas2 жыл бұрын
Snakes feel like they'd be easier to deal with... for the most part, just slowly walk away and chances are you won't even see one anyway. Bugs? Bugs are everywhere and fast. Yeah... snakes here too.
