OMG!!! Starting ~12:00 mark... that was awesome and stunning and gorgeous-- the man on the bow of his boat playing the cello. Beautiful and serene and enchanting... an unexpected treasure in a secluded alcove of a patch of stunning scenery for so many miles around. Middle Earth? Almost like Elven Lore from Tolkien... I was truly smitten by that. Thank you, Peter, for including that magical moment in this video (and I thank that man for allowing your drone to film him!) Even in these insane times of upheaval (politicized responses to something clearly threatening our lives), it's so promising to see and hear one beautiful spark of our humanity.

When you are 18 in Norway most kids are russ. For non-natives I have to explain: when kids finish high school after 13 yrs in chains, it's time for celebration. For many that means they buy an old bus, fixes it up to a fancy club-like standard with mega-booster sound system, get some beer (actually enormous amounts of beer), dress up (or rather down) in "spill-approved" overalls, and do not stop partying for weeks. Ohh, I forgot -- half of them dress in red - or rousse - clothes while the others ... I cannot remember. Point is, the red "rousse" russ drinking their beer probably won't notice if they're served a rousse beer.

About 15 years ago we neglected to set up a stern line while in PH. Swung on the tide and drifted out into the channel without even a kiss on the rocks. Woke up to a startling realization that we were not in Kansas anymore (to quote Dorothy). Pretty interesting to see how fast you can start the engine and get a Grand Banks 42 back into PH at 2 in the morning. Even managed a stern line in the dark. As I recall there were just a couple of boats there at the time. We were anchored almost exactly where you are. PH is one of my favorite places on the planet.

Yes, another favorite. The original Peel Pub on St Catherine was a proper pub, when they opened the Peel Pub show bar on De Maisonneuve the original slowly morphed into a gay bar.
