Oh beautiful Prince Edward Island! :) Love seeing the old cannons and learning about the history! Beaconsfield house looks so beautiful, I had never heard of it before and all of the times I've been there! Amazing to learn about this historic home. Fun street market. Lots of cute places to eat. The basilica is beautiful. I love the waterfront! National ice cream day, woo hoo! Greg is so excited you went to Cows! That's definitely his favorite spot on the island lol! So nice there's live music, what a beautiful song! Amazing video as always Josh! :)

It's a great little city! I am shocked that I had never taken the time to visit there before this. Lots of wonderful places around town - especially in that small downtown core. The ice cream was great! Glad we had the chance to stop - cows ice cream is indeed very good!

Always nice to visit a brand new place and nice to find out that Canada was formed there. Also nice to find out the British kicked out the French when they arrived after the French and that boardwalk was pretty cool, great place to walk but also bike too. I always enjoy a pedestrian only street, should be a lot more of them imo. I like the sound of national ice cream day and it would have been a crime not to celebrate it with an ice cream or two. It's actually a really nice little city! Yes, most of the eastern provinces (until Ontario) really had a back and forth control battle from the French and English. English is such an important language on the global scale, so I am glad they won too so we learned it from the start!

I really love when we have the chance to listen to the local music. We are very Scottish influenced here (a lot of settlers from that area) so the Celtic and related music is a big part of our local culture.

October is a nice time of year! About half way through the month it really cools off - so be sure to bring a mix of t-shirts, sweaters and even a coat just to be safe! That said, no matter what time you come, this is a beautiful little town that I think you'll love.

Known for potato, i'm there :D It looks like a beautiful place, amazing that was Canadas birthplace! Victoria Park looks amazing, right be the water :) great view points! What an amazing house with so much history and a gorgeous garden, i'm glad it's still there to enjoy, Wow so many stalls and the bars and restaurants look gorgeous lots of alfresco style places to enjoy the scenery. The church is beautiful shame the bells don't ring daily. Amazing looking town x Love the live music :)

The logo you is so sharp. You do such a great job setting up the location. Oh wow, your wife made it to a speaking part. My wife was so nervous when we first started the channel. Canons always look so cool. We haven’t done a walking tour but that is a great idea. Love you play around with different format for your videos. The buildings here is so cute. That song was so catchy in the end.

Yes, I have been trying to get her to come out of her comfort zone and try and be on camera a little more. You'll see in later videos that some "exposure therapy" really helped her get more comfortable with it!

This was a few years ago now, but this was the first time I had ever explored PEI that I can recall, so I am glad that we had the chance to go around a lot of the province and see what it offered. Charlottetown is a nice little city!

This looks like a really fun town, and it's super nice and clean! I bet you that ice cream was delicious! How far of a drive was this for you, or did you fly? Definitely a nice place to visit!

It's pretty close! It takes about 3.5 hours to give. Now that we moved we would need to tack an extra hour to that, but this is one of the closest provinces to us. Yes, the city was cute and a great place to visit. A lot of people pop over to PEI from here and its easy to see why now!

Who were the two musicians at the 10.30 mark? They were very good. Charlottetown is a lovely city/town...especially when there are no cruise ships in port. Found the same issue in Halifax.

That's a great question! Hopefully someone from the area watching the video will be able to answer this. I didn't notice any signs or anything (at the time) that showed who they were. They were both great though!

We used to go to Prince Edward Island every summer because my grandmother was born there and we got a Beaconsfield and my mother would find documents like you know family documents and she actually found out who her grandmother's parents were even though she was a foundling placed on a doorstep

I think that PEI and its cities, especially Charlottetown, are the only places in Canada that are beautiful - clean, and similar to places in the US and Europe. Wherever you go in Canada, you will see houses that are worn out and ugly and you can find a lot of litter and homeless people everywhere. Urbanism in other provinces and cities is not at all similar to the United States, Europe, or developed countries. Only in PEI, you can see suitable roads and asphalt.

Like most places, when you have smaller populations - like PEI - it is much easier to keep things clean. That's one reason I love living in Nova Scotia - another small and clean place. Yes, I do find that Canada does have a growing homeless problem, and I know that more and more people are finding it difficult to afford maintenance of their homes amongst other things. It's a very big topic here at the moment.

@@DestinationEarth Good morning my friend. so is it possible to find a clean and nice small place in Nova Scotia, too? Is it hard to find general jobs in these cities? My wife and I looking for a clean, calm, and affordable place to live, we have lived in Vancouver since 2018. I'm a carpenter.

@@alborzdmavandi8190 You can definitely find clean here on the east coast - almost everywhere here is clean. The trade off with living in smaller areas is the lack of jobs - something felt here in the east for sure. The job market is limited, although construction within the city of Halifax for example is going strong. Not sure if you do commercial or just residential work, but it appears that construction is going strong in the city. Cost of living is probably comparatively low when compared with Vancouver as well - but I am sure the salaries seen here are also significantly lower, and we have some of the highest taxes in the country. It's a trade-off.
