Hopefully you have a Babylock dealer nearby. They generally have orientation classes or other embroidery classes. That's how I learned initially. Plus, now we have KZbin. Let me know anytime!

I love that dress! It is actually really similar to the one I wore to the Sewing Expo when I met you for the first time. I cheated though, my fabric was ready embroidered 😂. Those bags you make are so smart, thanks for giving an insight as to how you construct one. One day I will get a machine with more than a 4” hoop then I can do more things! I'm new to sewing and have never sewn darts. I have never seen darts as angled down as yours are on this dress. How does one decide how angled to make breast darts? Does the pattern decide that? Love these two dresses btw.

These are not your typical bust darts. On this pattern, these are French Darts. They start at the side seam and generally extend from the waist up to the bust at an angle. YES! You need to have the same embroidered thread color in the bobbin because the earrings show in the back.

Yes, the top of your dress is too big. The shoulders are shifting and the bust needs a closer fit. It is a pretty dress with the embroidery.Shouldn't we all have a machine for those options!

Yes, I lost 10 pounds since the last time I made it. I think I will take it in and add the zipper because the fabric and the embroidery is absolutely stunning!!
