Structural parts might mean a trip to Japan for the right parts brand new. Might not be a bad trip to take with Bobbi to source parts and go snowboarding in Japan during the winter. Since its not mechanical and just structural, I am sure there is no difference between the RHD and LHD, except for the firewall.

I have to agree with everyone else, buy a new shell, salvage what you can and move on with the build. I would suggest parting out what you can from that shell and scraping the rest. Don’t let someone else end up trying to fix it. God forbid something happens, that thing will most likely never be safe in an accident. Your time and money would be better spent starting of with something else that will be much safer overall.

Wow, I can’t believe what I just saw! After checking out the owner’s NSX, I was honestly shocked by the extent of the damage that had gone unnoticed. Dents, cracks, and wear in areas that were totally unexpected, it’s honestly heartbreaking 😔. To see such a beautiful car in this condition, especially when it’s been so well-maintained, is a real shock. I hope the owner can find a way to fix it or come to a good decision about what to do next 🤞. It’d be amazing to see this NSX back in perfect shape again soon! 🚗💨

Yes, try to find a complete shell, start from scratch, can tell that chopping all those damaged sections out, is going to be a nightmare. May have to buy a whole new one, and start over. Know you love a challenge, look forward to what you decide.

Man that's tough, cuz u put a ton of work into the rear already. But a lot of the parts at least you would just reuse on the new chassis. Might be better to just do that and call the paint job and whatnot a loss on the old one. Make sure to check that everything's straight if u get a new one before pumping a bunch of work tho 😂

Another item to do while you're there is the gaskets and seals for the air conditioning unit and interior vents. Joe on the fb nsx group sells a kit for it.

Good luck finding a clean shell - not easy. two choices find a flooded car and swap drive train but then it will be rebuild title or fix what you have and which will be a clean title NSX. Val is the man and I wouldn't mine you colab with Val once more.

I’d say get a new shell… you’re not terrible deep into the project yet, the most you’d have to do is paint and swap parts to be back to where you were at in the last episode. Keep your head up brother

At this point, I'd recommend finding a clean shell since you have all the other parts already. I'm sure there is a theft recovered shell at the insurance auction or an auto dismantler that stripped down a flooded NSX that has a shell available. My vote is a shell swap.

Clearly this car was involved in an accident and someone tried to fix it for cheap and/or without proper knowledge in how to properly do it. Still, this is still an NSX, I'd give my left testicle for one in any shape or form hahah, so with all the work you did already I think you need to keep going.

I checked on Amayama the side panel set complete including the windscreen and door surround and the back section where the hinge attaches is only about $1200

Try to find an nsx with rear end damage with a good front end. Then you could cut the driver side front end and weld it on.

Someone went through quite a bit of tedious work to hide that damage. At 600whp plus that thing is an absolute death machine, you'd have to pretty much encapsulate it inside of a full cage to strengthen structural integrity enough to drive.

I would just look for a cheap high mileage one that had a good frame. And with NSX, you can recoup some of your cost selling the engine and transmission.
