There will be a "New Museum of Architecture & Design" at Helsinki at some point, they received a donation from Asahi Shimbun which is the only reason I know about it, as the news medias made story about the donation (but still not about the museum 🤭) 👀

Kiasma museum was our go to when we did a Helsinki trip during school times. I can totally recommend that one too!

Good selection of museums in Helsinki! On top of those, my personal favorites are Amos Rex, the Finnish museum of Natural History, HAM, Sinebrychoff museum and the Didrichsen home museum. From time to time I love going to the Ateneum just to see the permanent collection. I just love the atmosphere of that building. My favorites from the collections are The marbre statue ”Kaiku” (Echo) by Ville Vallgren and Helen Schjerfbeck’s painting ”Toipilas” and make sure to visit them everytime 😊.

Didrichsen home museum has indeed nice surroundings. I will check those paintings in Atenum out next time😀

I rarely get to visit Helsinki but when I do, I must visit Luomus, the Natural History Museum, every time. I'm a massive nature nerd and I can easily spend my time there from opening to closing! :D I also like to visit Ateneum. This video was also helpful and informative for a person like me who doesn't know Helsinki very well. I think I'll visit more museums next time I stay there. Finnish history is truly an interesting topic to learn about. :) Kiitos!
