This is one of the best reactions I've seen to their comeback, your comments are really thoughtful and on point. I'm an oldtime Kamilia (their fandom name), they were actually my gateway into kpop and seeing them back together again is like a dream come true. As you said, veteran performers have something special and can add so much to the music scene. Their presence alone is on another level! I hope you can maybe react to more of their classic hits (Mister, Step, Pandora, Damaged Lady and Mamma Mia especially) or also their Killing Voice, which was outstanding!

Thank you! I appreciate that! Really pleased with this comeback! I think this type of sound is really sustainable especially when sung by grown, established idols. Older Gen groups just hit a little differently. I definitely plan to check out some earlier stuff to see how this compares/contrasts!

fabrice maire some background and history about the band -KARA is a 2nd generation group formed by the DSP MEDIA agency (K.A.R.D) in 2007 the group had several reshuffles because members left the group and others joined along the way. the historic members of the group are .GYURI, SEUGYOUNG, NICOLE, SEUGHEE. but quickly SEUGHEE left the group and 2 other members joined the group HARA and JIYOUNG. it is this training that has enjoyed immense success from 2008 to 2014. if during 3rd gen the dominant trinity was RED VELVET / TWICE / BLACKPINK . the dominant trinity of the 2nd gen was GIRLS GENERATION /KARA / 2NE1 . KARA was especially very popular in Japan, it is thanks to groups like KARA and SUPER JUNIOR that the "KPOP WAVE" spread outside of South Korea. KARA was so popular in Japan that they sold more albums there than in South Korea. even the GGs of "JPOP" couldn't compete. then in 2014 NICOLE and JINYOUNG left the group. DSP then launched a survival show "KARA PROJECT" to find a new member. following that YOUNGJI joined the group. Then unexpectedly DSP MEDIA disbanded the group in 2016. A few years later learned of GO HARA's suicide drama and the members made a few appearances to make a special tribute to him. and now the group is reforming something new in KPOP with GYURI / SEUGYOUNG / NICOLE / YOUNGJI and JINYOUNG for their 15th anniversary they are managed by RBW ( MAMAMOO, PURPLE KISS) the big question is is it a one shot or is it e revival and a re-debut ???.

Kara doesn't get the flowers they deserve by newer kpop fans! WoSoKa aka Wonder Girls, SNSD and Kara were THE biggest girl groups during the most iconic period of Kpop. They are the queens of Kpop in Japan and were the first girl group to perform at Tokyo Dome, the biggest concert venue in Japan. You should watch their performance at MAMA 2022 where they performed a medley of their old hits. It was absolutely amazing.

Love this song. It felt both contemporary and also really them. As part of the comeback they appeared on IU's palette and truly showed their talent. Hara was good friends with IU and she heard about Hara's death during a concert. It was heartbreaking seeing IU talk to the audience and still continue with the show. The microphones at the end break me every time.

Such a sad situation. She was sooo beautiful too. Seemed like a sweet soul. I hope she is resting in peace. I had heard about the situation but I am just now like hearing particulars of it from longtime fans. I’m glad the group is having success with this comeback and also paid some tribute to her as well! Such a sweet gesture!

Thanks so much for reacting to them! I completely agree about the veterans. I got into Kpop back in 2010 and KARA was my favorite group back then!! They accomplished so many things, especially in Japan. They were the first K-pop girl group to have a sold out Tokyo Dome concert, they had dramas, an anime, sales were competitive with SNSD. etc so amazing!! And they had to carry themselves for the longest time.

They are adorable! If my wonder girls have a revival I would burst into tears. God knows how much i cried watching When I move. As a Shawol and MeU I know how painful and important that 6th mic is; and it's beautiful. I am so happy that they comeback and also T-ara. It's a gift to all the kpop community. They are mature and i love to see people around my age ahahaha

2nd gen idols just hit differently and better. Always live vocals, unmatched stage presence, timeless classic songs. Is there really a need to pick a bias for every group? Why not just appreciate and stan the whole group?

Wow. Chorus guaranteed this going on my playlist. Absolutely love this song. And these 2nd gen women SLAYED. I would stan but are they just doing the one album and they’re done? Like no multi-year contract? Also, I can deal with members who have left even if unjustly but a member passing away is just so terribly sad. Wish I could not think about that but I always would. 😔 Anyway, thanks as always for your reactions. Blaming you for almost half the groups I stan. 😂
