They are the first k-pop group to release an album in all english. They are also a very respected group in the industry because all the members have such strong talents and they are the role models of other idols (Ateez, Skz...). Monsta X very close friends with Seventeen, BTOB and Got7. They are sooo close. Shownu (Real name Hyunwoo) used to be a JYP trainee and was going to debut with the GOT7 members. Got7 members said "he was the best trainee among us" about Shownu. Shownu is leader and main dancer in the group. He has so beautiful voice. He is known as one of the best rappers in the industry. He has his own style and voice. Minhyuk and I.M are the group's mischievous and gay panic-inducing duo. 16:03 Wonho (real name Hoseok) is a member left the group. Thinking that the group would be harmed because he was slandered, he wrote a letter to Monbebe and left the group. He won the case and was cleared of the charges. That's why he continues his solo career and we continue to support him. Previously, he was a producer and vocalist in the group. someone who is very in love with his fans and his job. Despite the injustices he suffered, he did not speak to anyone after he won the case. The most muscular man of the group, the most muscular man in the entire industry. There were never any charges against wonho. The police investigated the allegations but found no evidence so he was cleared. There was no case. It was just a bunch of false rumours and I don't think they should be given any more credit than that

For the next vid I'd say to choose 4 from Rush Hour, Fantasia, Alligator, Dramarama and they also have all English releases so from them you could choose You Problem (entirely different from everything you just heard!) and Who Do You Love. If you don't mind checking out a B side with no mv and can just find a lyric vid....check out 'Beastmode' for sure because that's utterly iconic. Btw they are self producing idols, Joohoney wrote and produced Gambler and Love from the selection you just watched! Shownu, who is the leader, is in the military right now, so that's why they were down to 5 for the Love MV. Can't wait for your next reaction to them!

I was so excited to wake up to you reacting to Monsta X!! I just saw them in concert June 6 and they were amazing!! They have so much energy, the whole concert was a giant party. In Hero, you told one of the guys to put his shirt down...that's Wonho who unfortunately left the group, he often doesn't put his shirt down 😅 all of the guys are incredibly talented but one of the things that surprised me the most when discovering them was how Joohoney is not only an incredible rapper, but his vocals are insane too! I'd recommend checking out Beastmode, You Problem and Dramarama - but you won't be disappointed with any you check out. Thanks again!!

All of 4th generation boygroup kpop have monsta x as one of their inspirations this has been spoken by industry professionals as well as the idols themselves! monsta x have their own sound and are nicknamed "beast idols" and are also crowned the "Manly idols" of this generation of kpop. They are their own genre and as you can tell from the 4 mvs you say, thats true! if you wanna keep going i recommend Alligator, Rush Hour, Follow and Spotlight (jpn release but shows another side to them). You can also check out their english albums, All About Luv and The Dreaming, two excellent pop albums, they really can do it all!

Their discography is incredibly eclectic, although people do have a stereotype on the kind of music they make because their title tracks have always been hard hitting, EDM/Hip Hop/Kpop/Rock (noise) genre fusion, peppered fire rap verses, and sweet and powerful vocals, ad libs, and harmonies! They have the best rap duo in Kpop too! There is no genre they can't master if they take it on, and that's the incredible thing about them, they always maintain their own MONSTA X flavour throughout, but the have never limited themselves artistically or linguistically and have songs in Korean, Japanese, English, and even Mandarin. So although they are one of the pioneers of sexy, 'beast idol', 'noise music' in the current Kpop scene, that is not their entire legacy and a deeper dive of their discography will surprise you Not only are they insanely talented in everything they do, a lot of music journalists describe Monsta X as the 'Chameleons of Kpop', and it's so true, they are unique. The X in their name is the mathematical X, which is an unknown variable, they have always used this to symbolise that they won't be limited sonically or linguistically, which allows them to never get bogged down in any one sound or style. They also have a time travel concept running throughout a large quantity of their music, so you'll actually find that their music often has a fusion of old school/retro vibes, mixed with more current and 'futuristic' edge (experimental/EDM etc) Nothing holds them back when it comes to their music and artistry, and they are often known for pioneering a trend well before it eventually becomes popular, and they have influenced many 4th Gen idols for these reasons.

Yeesssssss!! Monsta X are honestly so underrated but I think they've gained some more hype since Rush Hour. Their rappers are crazy talented and their vocalists slay (vocal king Kihyun). They've honestly got sooo many iconic songs and MV's. One I think you would really enjoy is Sambakja which is a live perfomance but some of their most iconic songs are Rush Hour, Follow, Alligator, Fantasia Jealousy and Dramarama I think. Their rappers also got great solo songs. I.M God Damn and Jooheon Smoky for example! Hope you will react to them more in the future. :)

Yessss, I'm so happy that lately there's a lot of people that heard of them before but are starting to deep dive into them now, better late than never, the boys deserve it and you're gonna be blessed hahahah speaking about versatility, they have 2 english albums that are a TOTALLY different vibe, and you'll see them incorporating the concepts throughout their albums as well, not only on the title track. For more different types of songs, I'd suggest: All In (2016), Dramarama (2017), Fantasia (2020), You Problem (2021 - from english ambum). Criminally underrated! Monsta X is so good, I always describe them as more mature/ adult Kpop considering a lot of their music is sexy time vibes lol... Joohoney and I.M. do a lot of the producing/ writing for the group both are in the top 20 KOMCA for Kpop Idols

If you want to listen to more of a particular type of Monsta X sound: - More rapping: "Stuck" & "Sambakja" - Beautiful Falsetto: anything composed by Wonho "No Reason" & "If Only" - Rappers being Vocalists: any English release, particularly "Middle of the Night", "You Problem", "One Day", "Who Do You Love" Also, their Time Travel timeline MVs are really interesting... it was first introduced back in 2017 with their "Dramarama" MV. It was most recently updated with the beautiful and heartbreaking "Find You" MV in 2020, which was released 3 days before Wonho had to quit promotions due to allegations by a former trainee. They also have a few videos that feature the 7 Deadly Sins in them, such as "Shoot Out" and "Alligator".

Monsta x has so many different genres in different languages! I can recommend unique songs like Beautiful, Blow your mind (English + Bside), Rodeo (Bside), Follow and Fantasia! Would like to see more, love this reaction!

Thanks so much for your reaction to Monsta X! They definitely do a bunch of different vibes, but all with their Monsta X style. Since you wanted to do 4 more songs i would recommend All in (2016), Beautiful (2017), Dramarama (2017), Jealousy (2018), and Rush Hour (2021). I couldn't choose just 4, but honestly you can't go wrong with any Monsta X title track!
