It was a challenge for sure. We thought we were going to have more time in Nuka Hiva, along with another waterfall hike and beach time, but we had to take the weather window that was there or spend more than a week sitting and waiting for another window. We Loved our time in the Marquesas but there is PLENTY more of French Polynesia to see and we have limited time here!

Your musical choices are interesting ... of a fashion.

We try to find music to help set a mood for a clip. It could take hours of searching for just one good song among the various libraries we have to choose from. Sometimes the music is a miss, but sometimes it makes a scene epic!

Get you some Hoka running/walking shoes! After being an avid runner for over 30 years, this brand has literally changed my life! Without a doubt, the most comfortable, longest lasting shoes I’ve ever owned! Safe travels! 🤘🏼😎⛵️

Did Davis only say 2 words in this video? Everything there looks so pretty. And it looks like everyone is having fun! Hope Davis' irritation heals soon!

Your videos have gone up in quality so much, love watching them. Have seen many yachties go to these islands but you managed to show some unique footage. 👏 could have been a bit longer. 20 minutes is kind of the sweet spot. Just a bit longer at the different spots would have done it. Less editing I’d think.

Thank you! It really seemed like we filmed more. Our plan was to spend more time in Nuka Hiva but we had to leave early due to a weather window. Glad you’re enjoying our journey!!

hope you can have more luck to pick proper weather windows to reduce fuel cost to help you run longer also glad to see film directing skills getting better

We rely on Predict Wind for weather windows on more than 1 day passages. We have found, just like weather men on land, It's accuracy is misleading. After all, it's based on probability mixed with historical data. Mother nature doesn't care about data though and does what she wants, no matter what the models show. We have grown accustomed to sailing over motoring since we left the Bahamas, but we are not going to sit out at sea and just bob around for days if we have the ability to get to our destination safely under motor with not going into our reserve fuel. On the video production side, it's a challenge. We want to capture our experiences but at the same time, not live perpetually in front (or behind) a lens and computer (editing). We are constantly trying to improve our shots and our editing and are very thankful that you see that difference! Thanks for following our journey!!

Another fabulous video. I seem to have missed what happened to Davis so I will have to go back and check if there is a video I haven’t watched. Are you guys planning to stop in New Zealand?
@SailingParadiseFalls4 ай бұрын
Davis and some other boat kids were playing with locals in Oa Pou and he got con tact dermatitis from toxic algae. He’s finally feeling better. We are not going to be stopping in New Zealand as we need to keep moving into Indonesia to stay on our schedule. If we stopped in New Zealand, that would add another year to our circumnavigation.
