How wonderful! My ancestors are from Retford. I plan to visit from Canada in the next couple of years and couldn’t be more excited!

Great video and brings back memories of so many bands in the late 70's early eighties plus blagging a support for Angels Death Song before they morphed into Glass Arcade. I'm not sure if the 'dressing room' was on the top floor or on the same as the live floor?

Thanks for posting (and making) this video. An interesting documentary with lots of little details describing things I've probably seen hundreds of times but never really known the story behind. Although I lived in village to the north of the town, I went to what was at the time King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS) in the early eighties, and Retford was often a Saturday morning destination for shopping and meeting up with friends. I try to get back there as often as I can when I'm back in the area.
