I love Rock City! When I was 17 I took a trip from my hometown in VA to Austin, TX...we stopped in Rock City on the way home (Im 37 now). Anywho! While I was there ...I took lots of pictures and spent most of the next year turning those photos into paintings! I live in Austin now and my Mom still lives in VA... Two years ago my boyfriend and I decided to surprise my Mom for her 60th Birthday.... We drove cross country and it seemed only fitting for us to stop at Rock City so my boyfriend could experience the place! ❤

Another get adventure going to Rock City, it blew me away. The gnomes all belonging to the original owners and living there almost 100 years is fantastic. Mother Goose land was awesome, every time I thought about a Mother Goode character and wondered if it was included all of a sudden it would appear So wonderful your 4 legged babies got to join you also. Back in the 60s all that stone walking was not there!!! It was all open railing & open walkways!!! In 1969 we were coming down the mountain & the brakes went out on the car!!! If it weren't for a truck realizing why we were flying & almost went over the cliff several times we wouldn't be here today!!! The truck let us get really close to him & let us bump into him which slowed us down & he carried us slowly & got us down the mountain safely!!! Thank GOD for our fellow man & I'm sure GOD's looking out for us that day!!! The trip was awesome though!!! Back then you walked up the very top of the mountain with the bears walking right beside us!!! You could pet them but we're told never to feed them anything!!! The whole mountain looks & feels so different now!!! Thanks for taking us along!!!!!

Good morning Denman Clan. Wow the magical place of rocks. It was great to see but liked the natural formations more than the human made formations inside of the rocks. Okay the nursery rhymes area had me trying to remember them as you went along. The waterfall was really beautiful but looked like recycled water as you could see a hose going through the back. Oh My Gosh! Thank you for bringing us along on your vacation! I have never before seen such beautiful caves and caverns. I had to expand my screen to get everything in clearer sight. This vacation of yours was my first experience in seeing many of these views. I live in Washington State, I had no idea Tennessee had so many awesome adventures available. I am enjoying these family fun videos so very much. Watching the kiddies plaing along with the river and now the rock city and fairy cave would be stunning in real life. Buddy the sheer drop that made your stomach lurch it may have done the same to me but not as much as squeezing through the narrowed section with lower head room. I felt a twinge of panic just watching you and the children squeeze through sideways even Luna had to be encouraged to keep going. These memories will be with your children forever. I was there a few years ago and was amazed at all the crooks and turns, places to squeeze through and all the beauty. My Dad was still alive then and this brought back memories of the looks he would give me when we would have to squeeze through the very tight places in the rocks. Good memories! ❤

That was an interesting cavern. I loved the fairy tales, that I grew up on, as well as my son. The narrow steep steps was interesting and intimidating. Not sure if I would get through it. I would be Shelley Winters in the Poseidon Adventure, where she couldn’t get through an opening. 😊 I don’t blame Cayden going to sleep, that was a work out. ❤❤❤
