I have one of these, and there's NO tweeter in it. Mine weighs 18 lbs. because I put an Eminence S2012 NEO speaker into it. The NEO speaker handles between 150-300 watts, which "opened up" the amp. It has plenty of output to play in a 4 pc classic rock band. If I need more volume, I stack another Rumble 100 on top. That gives me a 200 watt 2X12 bass rig, and that sounds awesome!

that’s awesome, i would love to hear that

I would have thought at 22 lbs it did have a NEO, but I guess not at that price.

I bought one and like it for small bass gigs. Not bad for guitar too. I play with two bass players. One loves it for a classic rock band in small venues. The other plays metal it worked in small clubs but he went to 500 for outdoor and large rooms.

I have 1 of those, I love it. It's a great match with my Epiphone Thunerbird. It feels lighter than my bass. Great tones and loud.

According to Fender specs, the Rumble 100 does not have a compression horn in it. This feature is only available in the Rumble 500. Still sounds amazing for the price and weight.

Is it possible to play a guitar through this amp ?
@SmittyGeek Жыл бұрын
I am sure you could but I think it wouldn't sound as well as an acoustic guitar amp.. Thnx 4 watching #seekthegeek

Yep. I play doom metal on guitar using a bass amp.

@@SnarkyRC Same. Playing some Electric Wizard riffs through this sounds amazing. I usually just turn on the bright setting if I want more top end and lower the bass a little.

no horn...12" Eminence speaker made specifically for the V3 amp...no horn. Buy the Rumble 200 with the 15" speaker, and you get a switchable tweeter (on/off) in the cabinet...best thing about this amp besides it sounds great?...it weighs 18lbs...huge plus...

thank you for watching -- for a the weight this things packs one more punch. I am 52 and I understand the strain of lugging heavy gear ..

As others have pointed out the Rumble 100 does NOT have a tweeter. I think you should somehow edit your video to reflect that ... or at least add that in your notes.
@HiggaionSelah_EWFMG Жыл бұрын
☑ very nice choice the rumble 100 was my second choice and I still may get one , after about one month of online reviews ; but I settled on the ampeg RB-112 at 10% dealer discount was the same price as the rumble in the end [i have not seen dealers offer 10% on the rumble line]❗🤑🤓
@SmittyGeek Жыл бұрын
the Ampeg was just a little heavier but it came down to that one and the Rumble for me thank you for watching
@SnarkyRC3 ай бұрын
Too bad the Ampeg is made in china unlike the fender.

Would be fantastic if they did away with the effects loop, added a bit more wattage, then add a speaker extension so you could run a 212 stack, if needed/wanted to

I had a 100 watt peavy combo in the 90s. Must have been 75lbs lol. I had the fender rumble 500 and it was too much power that was never going to get used. Sold it. Might get one of these just to dick around with at home.
@rupe822 ай бұрын
Even this is overkill for home practice, you'll probably never use half of its power. If I go over 9 o'clock on the master it rattles my entire living room.
@tatt4music7 ай бұрын
These are not that powerful. 100 watts for Bass is only good enough for small practice spaces with a small band. Unless you are going to mic it up, it won’t work for live shows. It also distorts easily when turned up.
@rupe822 ай бұрын
You'd be surprised at how loud these are. There's a video on here of a guy using it in a band setting with a drummer and guitarist and it was able to keep up.
@baldbollocks11 ай бұрын
I can hear it distorting on some notes. I'll pass.

I have this amp and it sounds way better than this. Try one out if you can. Mine has been reliable for three years and sounds great. Good luck and happy amp shopping!
