I like it, just a couple of guys hanging out, talking about imaging stuff, the ins and outs of every aspect of motion, and stills. Yeah, I would definitely watch this. I put it on the queue and just listen to it in the background. Hear what you guys are saying, that type of thing.

Loved this, straight talk, no BS, no trying to sell anything, no shouting at the camera, no pointless cuts between every word. Perfect as a podcast to listen to also. Recommend uploading to Audible, spotify or something (so long as it's free to do so).

Totally agree on manual selection. Those Photoshop demos on selection don’t really work when you need files for bigger display than web.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. While I'm still learning the art and trying to put together a body of work, I would also like to understand the photographer's relationship with others i.e. clients, retouchers etc. I would like to see more like this.

So glad you made the comment about middle aged men shooting semi clothed young girls was one of the reason we left the local camera club as not only some members thought it was ok but the judges gave good marks to dreadful photos because they liked the girls! How long ago did you shoot this? Is this the original rescue dog which didn’t work out or a new one?

This was the best high quality and honest straight forward conversation about modern photography as a commercial digital photographer and studio. I absolutely loved it. You both know what you are talking about. I used to do commercial photography in the mid 1980s and 1990s in the film era. I used to shoot on large format Sinar cameras and Hasselblad film camera. It was before the digital era. Kind regards from Copenhagen, Denmark (I'm 58 years of age). Good luck with your channel.

I’m with Rob on the preference for landscape, although only from a video perspective. I hate seeing people shooting video in portrait mode. It just seems lazy.

Don't you find that once you edited photos and you look at them the next day you still find some details that still need to be fixed? That's related to shooting, editing and delivering the next day to the client

aside from having different set of eyes over it like he said, you also have to set guidelines and scope limits for your own work. you would never be done because theres always something to fix or improve, but its important to remember that aside for your deliverables, you are also billing for the time you are spending for those deliverables. if you do try to deliver too much over and over, it would just lead to scope creeping where the product you deliver is already way over the money you are getting paid for. if you are consistently cutting the deadline close, its a high sign that you are promising too much within the time you are allotted to.

Hi both tanks for sharing your knowlodge. I very much apreciate. I supose you are aware of Carl Taylor from visual education youtube. He does product, modeling, street, portrait, fashion as well as landscape photography, and his work looks very high-end. Can you explain to us what is the ups and down of shooting multiple niche within photography?

On the point of AI tools, as you mentioned, AI selection, I have found the same thing with my work, just doesn't get it right and the time it takes to match the AI selection with fixing the parts it missed made you so frustrated, you end up masking the whole thing anyways. I saw a meme the other day of Milli Vanilli and it read "Milli Vanilli watching Tiktokers getting rich miming songs"

I watched about five minutes before moving on. It has nothing to do with the content. I listen to podcasts everyday and can tell you where you are going wrong with this one as a podcast or a video on KZbin. It’s too long! More than 30 minutes for a podcast and more than 15-20 minutes on youtube is a stretch. I am not a professional photographer and never will be. But I do enjoy your channel. If you can’t say it in 25-30 minutes then it probably isn’t worth saying.
